To date with TMO I have found the carrot has worked but things can change!

Recently with Mobileshop my carrots were getting me nowhere, fortunately just the threat of the stick was enough there. :)

I've just had an email from them about my own contract saying they have received my 11th bill; they have my 12th too so I'm not sure what they are playing at.

    Got a reply from TMO:

"You will receive conformation for receipt of the 12th bill when it is logged on our system, this can take upto 28 days." :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

A technicality which I fell foul of was "forward us your 11 and 12 months bill, again this must be within 21 days from the date shown on each of these bills" - it was the bits in bold that I must have taken in!

Sent 11 & 12 together like the first batch of 1-6

I am going to request that they show some good will & see what happens, as I really cannot afford to loose £330 with a 7week old in the house and a reduction to 1 income.

Has anyone else fallen on this and had it resolved?

I sent my initial claim back and it arrived 1 day late. I'm going to use the small claims court because they have broken a term and condition as well. Section 10.3 stated that any bluetooth headsets offered in conjunction with any mobile phone offer are sent with the mobile phone or within 7 days of delivery of the handset. I had to chase them to get my Bluetooth.

Has anybody else received their free Bluetooth outside of the timescales in their terms and conditions?

I recently submitted 2 court claims against TMO for 2 wrongly rejected cashback claims (both the first claim).
I have today received an email from them saying they have made a BACS payment for one of these claims (will take 3-5 days they say). This email has come almost a full month after I sent my 'Letter(s) of Action'.
What do I do now, the court actions have been submitted (and I've paid 2 lots of £50 court costs). Do I let the court action take its course. I don't what to be out of pocket for the court costs
  • That is an interesting situation Tyler, I've always wondered what would happen if you submit a court case and pay the charges only to have TMO pay up before the case is settled. Do you get a refund or are the costs foregone? Let us know.

Are you saying you're supposed to send bill 11 seperately within 21 days and then send bill 12 seperately when that arrives? If so, that's ridiculous...but I don't understand how you'll be £330 out of pocket if they don't pay up. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be too optimistic on TMO's "goodwill", like any other cashback company, if they can weasel out of paying your cashback they'll take every oportunity to do so.

EDIT: Just read the (current) T&C's and it says:
In month 11 of your contract you will need to forward bills 10 & 11to us within 21 days of the issue date on bill number 11.

In month 12 of your contract you will need to forward to us bill 12 within 21 days of the issue date on bill number 12.

    I guess they've re-written the T&C's?

Hi p5x, T&C's have changed and I do suspect they have the good will of the diablo. My tariff was £55pm

I am going to try to get something back.

All beware and don't fall into a trap like me by eading the T&C's very carefully, as already noted in several of the posts in this thread.

I may like the previous PP9552099 take them up on their late delivery of my initial cashback which was several days late which broke the T&C's too and if anyone has any further idea's please post or PM me.

Not doing the cashback thing, once bitten, twice shy.........well maybe

IMO even though they change their T & C's, I always photocopy the t & C's which came with my phone and highlight them.

I had no problems with my first claim, I sent my month 11th bill on the 18th April and it was received on 19th April. Yesterday i received an email to inform me the 11th month bill had been received and placed on file. Today i sent my 12th month bill, so fingers crossed i'll have my cashback within 28 days.

    Hi all

I tried to phone The Mobile Outlet on 08701999333 and held for 1 hour. Despite being "FIRST IN QUEUE", no one answered, so I am posting my query here.

I've an existing 12 month phone orange contract bought from the mobile outlet which has nearly ended (still awaiting my second cashback on that).

I now want to order another 12 month contract from the mobile outlet (or anyone else that you recommend) on ORANGE. Would it be possible for them to send me my new mobile on the same ORANGE account number? I've spoken with Orange and they say its very common and I can add upto 6 different mobile numbers on the same Orange account.

    Thanks and regards

If you combine different phones on the same account you will only get one monthly bill which will be no good for some cashback deals where the retailer requires only the original bill and won't allow 2 claims in one envelope.

Why is it so important to have the phones all on one account?
