Just a thought, I've just trawled back through this thread and have found no TMO input since late March - are people still getting orders/cashback/communication with them, or am I missing something ????

I recieved a letter stating that my final cashback claim (12 month bill for a 6 month £150 cashback claim) had been refused, due to being outside of the 21 day claim period!

Having checked my bill date I was 1 day late. Gutted:mad:

Anyone got any advice on begging for them to get the claim through?

They are claiming the same on me. Having challenged them they are now saying that the T&C's are 21 days (inclusive) - the T&C's I have don't say inclusive. I admit I was late sending due to a return from holidays, but sent "recorded" to esnure prompt delivery.

For me BILLDATE: 26th Feb 2007 ARRIVED TMO: 19 March 2007 (that is on the 21st day in my book! - unless you apply their new word INCLUSIVE).

Try in excel inputting the date of 26/02/07 and then insert formula to that cell and add 21 - it comes out at 19/03/07 - I rest my case!

    Any advice?

Have they written to you stating that the t&c's say 'inclusive'?

    You have used the term
    I rest my case!

They have written to me adding the word "inclusive" in to the wording taken from their orginal t&c's in their letter - - - their original t&c's do not include the word "inclusive" - hence me resting my case (in court in necessary)!

The Mobile Outlet are the ones to deal with your broken phone and not Sony(Ericson). You can choose to deal with the manufacturer if you so wish, but the retailer is obligated to you while the manufacturer isn't.

Another reason to deal with the Mobile outlet as opposed to Sony is, no proof of purchase is necessary as they already have your details.

To all that read this. MAKE A COPY OF YOUR DESPATCH NOTE!!!

Make a copy of everything you send to TMO.

Whilst I am tempted to say, 'I can't believe anyone wouldn't use recorded delivery, etc.', clearly I can! :rotfl:

Just like I am not surprised that my wife's cashback has been with TMO for 38 days and we've not heard anything back.... I've sent a polite query.

Why can't it be simple? Because.... oh that's too cynical of me! :p

To date with TMO I have found the carrot has worked but things can change!

Recently with Mobileshop my carrots were getting me nowhere, fortunately just the threat of the stick was enough there. :)

I've just had an email from them about my own contract saying they have received my 11th bill; they have my 12th too so I'm not sure what they are playing at.

The email also invites me to email them if I 'have any further questions regarding the delivery of [my] handset'. What handset? :rotfl:

(and people question my sig!) :p

I had a similar problem with a dodgy phone that they wouldn't sort out within 30 days of purchase and then after the 30 days were up they responded and told me I was too late for a replacement. Undeterred I contacted the Vanilla mobile company and eventually E2save who fulfilled the contract. They were very helpful and a courier collected the faulty phone and brought a replacement with a couple of days. This phone has been fine.

I have submitted my 11th bill 3 weeks ago but when I questioned whether they have received it - I know they have I sent recorded - they told me they would tell me after 28 days had elapsed:confused: . 12th bill due to arrive anyday now and will be submitted immediately. As usual it will be special delivery as it's worth £360 to me.
