E-mail the forum queries team. They should be able to inform you.

Thank you maniac886 and GunJack for your advice.

We seem to be pursuing our claims exactly in parallel, GunJack, so keep us posted! I wonder how it will all work out for us over the next eight months, with four MORE claims to submit?

I took your advice, guys, and emailed the Forum Team last evening. Got a reply within hours. I had also raised another matter (about my email address) and they answered that as well. So clearly it was not just an automated response!

Not of course that getting a reply to an email actually takes me any nearer to obtaining my cashback. I'll believe it when I see it. (Make that when the cheque clears!)

I asked them to find out and tell me specifically the date upon which TMO would be sending me a cheque (given that payment is overdue) and the reply to this was:

“We have contacted the cash back department and requested details of your payment. We have been advised payment should be with you in the next few days.”

Hmm. I sent my email at 6:16 p.m. and the reply was timed at 9:00 p.m. Nice to know that the cashback department is working such long hours…

Does anybody have a handle on what TMO means by "a few days"?

Sorry, I thought that that BrendaY was asking a generic question about the tardiness (or not) regarding The Mobile Outlet's responses.
It isn't clear to me that he/she only wanted responses from people whom had recently had a claim.

You have a knack of reading post's and telling us what we actually mean.
    Thanks for the correction:beer:

Cobra (who appears very hot on certain inaccuracies and is not your friend) should pick you up on your inaccuracies here...

We have covered how TMO admit to having made errors in the past and are trying hard to put their house in order, past performance (especially long past) is not always a good indication of present or future is it?

I have a right like everyone else to voice my concerns, I got my phone in December after I followed this thread for a few months, I know the risks but choose to not let them take advantage of their customers.
I have not got an 'I'm alright Jack' attitude so this approach does not work for me.

Granted, they are sorting things out, but they are not doing us a favour, that's what our contracts state they are obligated to do.

I don't get why you got a phone from TMO, it appears that you have only had it three months (without incident?) and yet are here posting how bad they are?

Someone may say you bought it looking for a fight? (Which now I've made my point I won't enter into anymore).

Can we stop bickering here? We're all entitled to our opinions based on our own exepriences. My own have been dreadful, hence I've issued a letter before action, and I'll be going ahead via the small claims court next week. I've adhered to their conditions, and have been dismissed out of hand. Their communication is nothing short of scandalous. I've had letters, emails and PM's ignored consistantly. I work for the NHS and I thought we had a customer service/communication problem until I came across this company, the majority of my colleagues try really hard - these chaps appear to me to be totally disorganised and display a lack of regard for their customers (who appear to have to jump through hoops to get what is contractually theirs). Ok - rant over, but can we at least be civil and/or polite to each other on this forum, thank goodness we enjoy the power of free speech! so let's all be nice...

Thank you, I don't know why it is taken so personally when people post their views on The Mobile Outlet.
I am sorry about your problems with The Mobile Outlet, I hope your claim is sorted out at court.

Amidst the negatives and people harping on about issues that seem to have become personal and somewhat irrelevant to the point of this thread, I feel it only fair that it reflect customers' positive experiences as well.

I have had problems with The Mobile Outlet in the past (documented on the previous thread) but they did pay my 1st installment shortly after it was due. Four friends also have cashback deals with them and all of them have received the first cashback cheques on time, and without having to prompt MO for payment. Furthermore one friend whose cashback claim was refused (she forgot to send the despatch note with her 1st claim and sent it afterwards) then appealed against MO's decision. After a month (to her surprise) she received a cheque. I think this shows them in a good light, having taken her comments into consideration.

In spite of much negative comment, from my and my friends' experiences it seems that the company are doing their best and we should give them a chance before we assume that they are 'out to get us'. Anyone new to this thread take heart, it's not all doom and gloom!
