    Hello All,

Well done Suggs, and thanks for sharing your journey so far with us. It is certainly a tale many of us here can relate to and understand. Well done Lois too! wow, aren't you too a couple of clever clogs this week?

Well, I've maintained this week, which I'm both perplexed and a bit disappointed about. I've put in extra effort in the gym, have begun to jog on the treadmill rather than uphill walk, I do weights too at every session (3 a week) and I'm doing 40mins of swimming too. My OH who is bodybuilding with his regime (and doing very well at it too :-)) thinks that either I have a very slow metabolic rate, or I've put my body into a catabolic state whereby it's gone into starvation mode. My problem is that I gain weight if I eat the recommended 1500cals p/day, and maintain at 1200, so I have to eat even less to lose it seems. He's doing a bit of investigating for me to find out if there's anything else I can do combined with my gym routine.

Anyway, I won't allow it to deter my efforts as I'm at almost the 2 stone mark since the start of the year. I feel so much better already, but just want to shift a bit more to feel better about myself.

Thanks to all who contribute to this thread, I find it truly motivating and reassuring to hear everyone else's tales of success and frustration. Here's to a better week ahead.

What is everyone doing for Mothers day? I was thinking of going to the Harvester as they have the salad bar with the dressings on the side so could just pile up on that without the dressings or Pizza Hut for the same reason...the salad bar....the kids could then eat the Pizza.....

    What do you think peeps?:D
