I'm just back too Loopy. My backside is sore already from all the squats - I imagine it will be worse in the morning :) At one stage I was thinking - What am I doing here, I HATE gyms, but for some reason this forum came into my head, and someone had mentioned earlier in the day - "What would Suggs do?", so I chanted that over and over in my head. Sad or what :rotfl: Just hope I don't start it in my sleep or DH may be asking questions in the morning

I'm doing Mothers Day at my house. DH and I are out with my brother and SIL on Friday for a meal, parents are out on Sat night so none of us fancied another meal out. I am going to do a buffet tea- not sure what yet but will try to be as good as possible - apart from the key lime pie which has been requested for pudding :p

    Hi all

DH and I are taking our Mums to a carvery, which fits in well with SW as long as I can resist the roast potatoes and parsnips (and the puddings  ).

This week is going to be a challenge anyway, I had a pub lunch today as a colleague is leaving, and I've got a business buffet lunch on Thursday, but it will be fine as long as I stick to it for the rest of the time.

Well done to those who have posted today.

Consultant I'm still in shock over the Mcflurry:eek: , def will not do that again for a long time.

  • I've been calorie counting and started back at the gym and my weight has gone up 3 pounds this week! Is this normal? Could I have put on that much muscle that quick??? :rotfl:

I've been trying to diet since the beginning of the year and with my 3 lb increase I have now only lost 6lb in just over 2 months and am feeling a bit

I'm on my hols in 6 weeks and wanted to be 133 lb or 9.5 stone - anyone got any pointers??

I don't think so I'm afraid. I was told once that when you first start to exercise, your muscles surround themselves with extra fluid as protection against possible harm.
I don't know if it's a fact, but it is odd how a weight gain often happens for the first couple of weeks of going to the gym.
Have we got a medically-minded person on here who can shoot my theory down or (hopefully) confirm it??

Well done to the 'losers', I hope you're suitably proud of yourselves :D

Got a busy few days looming, but will be following the thread even if I don't have time to post

i posted yesterday but it seems to have vanished! oh well, I was just saying congrats to all our losers, and honey we are all so very pleased for you! I've been SW cooking this week - and I can vouch for consultants falafel and meatballs they were gorgeous. Trying to be good this week and doing okay - but I'm going to the International Food Exhibition in London next tuesday which is going to be difficult - in past years I've eaten my way around but this year will have to be different.

Had Thai Ck satay last night V.V. bad but had lots of raw veg with a quark and pepper dip V.V. Good. Didn't snack during the evening either. Still doing baby exercising but getting a little more each day. Starting to get through the storecupboard. Am beginning to get a better attitude and feeling a little more positive about trying to diet again.

Mother's Day - hate it as my mum died a few years ago and I always cry for her and can't bear to go to church on Mothering Sunday - I've lost my faith now anyway. I usually have a big row with the family as If they do do something for me I feel guilty that they have had to because of a date on a calendar and if they don't do something I feel let down...so they and I can't win. I am going to try to behave myself better this year and be pro-active. I'm thinking of doing my favourite "Harvester" meal at home. Small Grilled CK breast and sm amount Bacon Stack with a little Emmental cheese and limited Plum Sauce. Healthy SW chips and lots of salad with LF Blue cheese dressing. At least at home I'm in control of what is on my plate and although I won't lose any weight I will enjoy it and know that it is a healthier option than going out (which we can't afford anyway).

    Good luck this weekend everyone.
