Yes Cat, I have been the same weight since October (which is longer than 12 weeks ) Just checked my SW book. I've lost 1lb, gained 1lb etc since then and just cannot shift past this weight. My Consultant told me that she had maintained for 3 months and then it started coming off again and that, along with the fact that I am matron of honour in June and again in July are the only things that are keeping me going without chucking it all in. Its very frustrating. Some people say I mustnt be sticking to it etc, but I am. I have syns, yes, but when you count them over the week I am always within my allowance. I have more or less stopped drinking too - think I have had one blow out since New Year but apart from that nothing. I have been driving most times we go out too. OH says I need to exercise, I have started walking and am going for gym induction this weekend. Hadnt thought of mentioning it to the dr though. I did mention that I attributed the mirena coil to it but the locum dr whom I saw last week dismissed it.

It sounds like you need to do something to kick start your body into losing weight again. Nothing drastic however. Do you keep a record of what you eat? Just incase you're actually eating more than perhaps you think you are. Exercise will most definately help, tell the instructor at your induction that you want to shift the weight and they should give you a program designed to do that. Don't forget you need to change your program regularly especially as your body gets used to it and therefore you aren't pushing yourself.

Does SW still have red and green days ? Do you always have the same colour day ? Is so, try changing to the other one for a few days.

Good luck, I nearly always give up when I start maintaining my weight and get really depressed and fed up about it.

suggs - yes please write your story - we are all looking forward to it - you and others are really inspirational. I know I said I wouldn't weigh myself but I have again and the weight isn't going anywhere!! But two different people commented on how I looked like I was losing weight and they didn't know I'm trying so maybe I look a little better! I'm desperate for popcorn (of all things) but will try to resist.

Keep up the good work guys and well done to shirleypark and petrichor on getting in those jeans! xx

Hi Becky sleaf and welcome on board the Lose Weight thread. You don't need to let anyone know what you weigh if you don't want to. All we're interested in is how much you lose each week (though if you gain, we're still interested:D )

I can't believe there have been 4 pages of posts since I was last here. I've been too busy to get online at all since Monday and I've missed loads/

Belated congrats to the Birthday Girls :bdaycake: . Hope you enjoyed your day.

ShirleyP and Petrichor both deserve a big :j for getting into the next size down. Well done!

Erlqueen, another one so close to Castleford Xscape - it's uncanny! Where do you live!

KatiePC I would really love to come to your cookery demo, but I'll be in New York on April 1st. Do let us know when you do another in this area though, I'd love to come and watch. It would be great to meet up too, though I'm not too sure about tobogganing :rotfl:

Keatergreyhound, your day's menu didn't look very balanced to me and there was a shortage of fruit and veg. However, you lost a pound I believe, so you must be doing something right, lol. If you want to see a healthier days menu, have a look on www.slimming-world.com, they have a 7 day menu which is easy to follow and may help you.

Karren, it must have been a dreadful week for you, but I think the fund-raising is a wonderful idea.

I'm still galloping back and forth to my parents house every other day as Dad is still not well (though the confusion has gone, thank goodnes).

Will keep on popping in when I can and have booked my ticket for the "Life of Suggs" when is it published :rotfl:

Lois, I too would like to thank you for all the effort you put in on the chart every week. It has become so big now, I'm sure it must be taking over a large part of your life. I've stayed the same this week, so you can leave me at -15 thanks.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

well slugs, I am impressed - you lost over 100lbs! well done.. please share me your serects ;)

I know its a factor that the gym is a great help - but this time I got a rower from Free-Cycle so going to use that, and tis getting warmer now in the evenings and the great outdoors is looking ideal to start pace walking/jogging again. Moneysaving and lose weight at the same time :D

My only fear about weight loss is the fact of excess skin around the belly, does it tone up after a while as I am a 40" waist and would be looking at a 32" come summer (doable) and wouldn't want excess flabby bits hanging around that needs cutting off? Is is that for people who are mega over weight?

Im starting to lose the taste and craving for a brew now... so splenda is doing its job. I have a normal brew in the evening with proper sugar and you notice how sweet it really is.

I am having major thoughts that my food allergy is to do with something in Cholocate and Marg (Morrisons brand and St Ivels gold) so will have to do more readin soon to find out what it is. Its clearing up nicely, but its leaving my arms dry where it went all red last week. Does help eating fruit and veg now as its clearing out the system.

Kitchen now looking to more "core" ingriedent focused - meaning that spices/herbs/garlic/fruit/veg are all on display by the door, in which is there to make the mind more aware that I can make something out of this pile in the evening (im one of these people to take the short cut for the easy slop up meal ;) ) Just got to clear more of it up, buy a few more spice pots from local houseware shop and all sorted - so will got a photo online for you people to look at before the weekend I hope :)
