Funeral was yest and it was terrible, to have lost such a lovely girl at 42 it seems such a waste and have decided to hold a coffee morning to raise funds for the chemo day unit to give something back, and I feel that I can focus on that to help come to terms with what has happened, had a coffee morning in oct and raised £150 so this time I will double my efforts in her memory.
But on another note, Weigh in tonight, and stayed the same! seeing that this week has been bloody awful and that I have drunk lots of wine and eaten whatever i wanted and never excersized am quite suprised. So this week am going to power walk and go swimming in the morning when the little one is in school, as i want to be healthy to run around after the children and make thier childhood the best i can. night night speak soon!:A :j0 -
Good luck with the fund raising Karren. :grouphug:
Did anyone watch 'super-slim me' just now on bbc3?? 28 yr old UK size 12 woman tried to 'slim down' to size 0 (uk size 4) in 2 months by following faddy diets and doing loads of extreme exercise (kinda the opposite of 'supersize me' if you've seen that) It was very interesting, especially when Olympic Medics told her she was perfect BMI and healthy, and herbal doctor 'to the stars' said her body fat was in the obese range!!!
Certainly showed the dangers of crash diets-she was in a terrible state by the end. Didn't get down to size 4 though, and lost 17lb which isnt that good a result given the hype for 'crash' dieting, you could lose that healthily in just a little more time.Moneysavinghopeful :rotfl:0 -

Yay mine too, I was 140 and needed a flame thrower to light the candles on the cake which I had told DD and OH not to bother with because of my diet, but I had a small portion and worked out the calories but let's share this one between us :bdaycake: oooh how strange DD put 5 candles on my cake (won't say how much each one represented) Edit - just realised that your post was last night so you are a day before me, but let's still share the cake
Katiepc The demo sounds great and regards the pork recipe, the family liked it even though when I got the tray out of the oven I burnt my thumb and ended up dropping the whole lot on the floor, but didn't tell them until they'd eaten it all :rotfl: .
Alyssa-mae Well done for posting your weight gain, some of us wouldn't have been so brave. Don't let it upset you it will come off this week.
honey28 Don't get disheartened, I wish I could give you better advice other than just keep going.
karren :grouphug: and well done for doing the coffee morning, good luck with it.
Gpuk Welcome and stay with us, you sound just like me ie lost it before and put it all back
Some of you inspired me to try on a pair of jeans that hadn't seen my rear for 18 months and I got into them :j OK they could be a bit looser and they contain lycra so they stretch, but even I think I look quite good in them and the feeling of achievement negates the effort taken to get there. Thanks to you all :T
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!

Belated Happy Birthday to janb5
Great news about the jeans Shirley. :T
Its a lovely day here today, just hung out the washing and there is actually a teeny bit of heat from the sun. Kids are off school today as there are local elections over here atm and their school is being used as a polling station. Its nice to have a mid week lie in! Enjoy the sunshine and be good !
EDIT: Crossed posts with you Petrichor - Happy Birthday to you too - 140 you say :rotfl: Great news about the jeans :T0 -

Am going tonight but won't be as good as you...
jojilufc, the aim is to get yourself out of breath and a slight glow to the bodyand if your happy increase the resistance levels or the time? please dont think that my routine is better than yours. I have been going to the gym for 14 months now.
First few weeks I struggled, got bored, wasnt interested. The cross trainer was a nightmare to get used to! But now I do admit I push myself hard, I dont want to spend all day in the gym, which is what I used to do.
Currently I enter all the details the machines wil let me input, weight, age etc and it displays calories burnt, I then try to match or better it as well.
Hope that makes sense.
btw, is that Mr Bates football team your name refers too?Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

Suggs I've noticed that your total weight loss is 107lbs(corblimey!), how long has this taken you and what are the benefits that you're experiencing now, in other words please tell all of us who have only been here a short while, the full story. It will certainly be an inspiration to us and will make you realise how far you've come and not worry about 'only' losing a lb.
Thank you petrichorerrmmm I started Jan 2006, If you really want the story I will post it, but a little busy at the moment in work. It may have to wait until the weekend.
