  • Too late for the chart but spent all evening chatting on the phone! Anyway, lost 2lbs so pleased, although a it like Suggs also a bit disappointed as I've had a good week and also worked out alot. Feel it's probably a case of fat turning into muscle. All my clothes are much looser but unfortunately I really need the reassurance of the scales going down. Wish I could be strong willed and keep off them but can't!

Anyway, will stick to the plan and keep reminding myself about the clothes I can get into that I couldn't a couple of weeks ago.

Put me down for the 5lb challenge please - surely I can manage it this time after failing so miserably this last time!!
Proud to be dealing with my debts

What is it with me and dogs this week - another one this morning, but managed to stop in time as I saw it in the corner of my eye - good job nothing was behind me - poor puppy now reunited with their owners... :(

Anyways - very bad day today....

Brekkie: Weetabix - tea with spendia now :)
    Lunch: Apple, Pineapple with Yogurt.
Tea: Sandwich (some meet and bit of cheese)

then went to mums, now I called my parents 2 hours before coming over that Iwas going to pop over to drop off Birthday card to dad

Got there and mum had a roast dinner (pork chops) waiting for me.... arrrghhh! - had that (no choice - can not say no!) but I left about 20% of it (mainy eat the fresh veg and very little of the roast spuds)

I am going to fill bad tomorrow :( - still I am feeling bettter - these jeans are getting looser, that I can tell as the flies keep bloody dropping down and exposing my boxers! (yes, im doing the full monty in Tescos/Morrisons getting the fruit & veg :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2 )

    Mike

PS - OH, well done to those users who lost the weight this week :D

Hi everyone. I am up for the next 5lb challenge (by April) so that is officially my target (got a wedding to go to in April and i'm maid of honour! so i'd better look 'honourable' by then i guess, and not so flabby!)

No weigh in today as i felt really ill (had a bit of pasta at lunch and nearly brought it back up!) so went home and fell asleep instead of usual gym session. had some beans on toast and felt a bit better, then made lovely HM curry for dinner (only a smidgen of naan, mostly rice, chicken and tomato)
going swimming tomorrow and then shopping so will get a cardio workout going round the shops at least!! Will weigh myself at the pool if poss but if not will update on wed after the gym.
I have scales at home but i dont trust them at all, they are digital but give totally different readings depending on which room you are in! I can literally 'lose' a stone and a half going from the bathroom to the hallway! (something to do with hard/soft floor effecting the reading i think)

Well done all the losers and maintainers, keep on smiling everybody!!
suggs, i wouldnt worry too much about the small loss if i were you, u do so much exercise u've got to be turning the fat into muscle for sure, and that weighs more. So long as ur looking and feeling better then ur doing really well still!!! (ur an inspiration!)

mike, never mind about the roast, sounds like u were sensible about it, and dont forget to enjoy it too!

what are we going to do with all these parents and partners forcing delicious treats upon us??!! can't look ungrateful now can we??? lol
    ;)

2lb is a good loss, you should be proud. You could be right its all turning into muscle which burns more calories as well:beer:

    Morning :(

I haven't been here for over a week as I lost nothing on my first week when I needed to lose 2 lb. I was so embarrassed :o - I normally only lose a pound whenever I first start the healthy eating again anyway but I know I hadn't truely done the diet properly so then I got angry with myself.

I had to laugh at me on the scales though. They were hovering between losing a pound and maintaining so I took my T-shirt and socks off but to no avail :D Haven't done good this week either but will start again after I weigh myself tonight. I'll never reach my 8 lb target before March 21st (I cheat way too often for a good weight loss and always have!) but I'll have a good go. I need to reach that target before aiming for my next one in June / July :(

Just skim read the thread from page 24 so I'll say 'hello' to everyone especially the ppl who live so close to me 'cos I am only 5 minutes away from the Xscape!!!! That is so weird that so many of the members are so close but does that mean that all of us up North eat far too unhealthily?

Oh and I also shop for my jeans at M&S 'cos they are two sizes smaller then the rest of my clothes ><

Good luck to everyone over the coming week. I hope you achieve all you aim for and take pleasure, not pain, for indulging in any treats which you believe have set you back.

2 lb weight loss for me this week, which means 5 more lb and I have lost 2 stone! Need to shift it before I go to the diabetic nutritionalist on April 5th to show her how well I can do:D

20 lb to go, BMI has only come down .4 to 28.4 so no great change there, slowly slowly catchy monkey:cool:

Hmmm....no one around, must all be out enjoying the lovely sunshine.

Have been sorting out things in the garden and the time just flew, but decided to have a quick snack - HM cheese toastie.

Eriqueen there is no need feel embarrased here, we all have bad weeks and the first week is no different, keep with us.

Katiepc I like the sound of the historical day, I will ask OH if we can have a day out as it will certainly make a change. I've looked it up on the map and it shouldn't be too far. (Edit) What sort of cookery demonstration will you be doing? Wll it be themed? I do hope so as I love to see how cooking used to be done.

Suggs I've noticed that your total weight loss is 107lbs(corblimey!), how long has this taken you and what are the benefits that you're experiencing now, in other words please tell all of us who have only been here a short while, the full story. It will certainly be an inspiration to us and will make you realise how far you've come and not worry about 'only' losing a lb.

xlt Well done for eating your mums dinner without ruining your diet but still keeping her happy.

It's good to see that quite a few of us have signed up for another challenge, it was certainly good for me by making me think before I nibbled, thus saving the calories for meal times.

(Victory - there were also pictures of a flower arrangement, a Xmas tree and a dog, cat and a framed photo; I remembered these during the night (don't sleep well). Did you by any chance load all the pictures accidentally from a file and then edit the post? Never mind, but I'm just puzzled. Hope the weigh-in goes OK for you tonight.

Now back out to the garden and then to prepare Sticky Fingers Pork from the current Somerfield magazine, it seems that this could be adapted for us healthy eaters so I'll let you know what the family thinks of it.

    xxxx
I wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latter :p but my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
