Congratulations Tallgirl!! and I bet you look smashing victory To the maintainers and gainers freebiehunter29, xlthunter and bargainbabe I hope you look on the positve sides of what has happened? We all tend to get slow weeks, me more than most!

Been to Boots and lost 1lb will admit to been disappointed with that as I thought I had a good week. (Except Friday I guess) Maybe I am thinking I could be guilty of overdoing the gym? Building some muscle instead ? What do you others think? Last Week I managed

    Mon - 20min Cycle, 10min Row, 15min Treadmill - 659Cals burnt
    Tues - 25min Cross Trainer, 20min Cycle, 5min Tread - 885Cal (+Aquacise session)
    Weds - Swam breaststroke 125 lengths (1000m)
    Thurs - 20min Cycle, 20min Cross Trainer - 725Cal
Sat - Played a Full Game of Rugby at Tight Head Prop! :j
    Sun - Swam breastroke 100 lengths (800m)

I suppose I should be happy at the loss, at at least Im toning up, but I am so scared of putting it all back on as well. Does that make any sense? I was very happy to get through the full game on Saturday, my first full game since the knee operation in November, I had sore shoulders and back yesterday and we lost! but it was worth it, epsecially as my daughters said that the best I had played (running wise) for quite a while.

Off to the dietictian tomorrow, I have lost 13lb since the last visit on Jan 8th, but still a good few months before I can wear victory's bikini :p

All this talk of the Xscape building, got me excited, till I saw you were talking about Leeds and not Milton Keynes :)

Consultant I know what you mean about same shop different sizes :) It happens to me in the shop I use. I guess its down to cut, but even with the same manufactuer the number of x's for my l's changes :) never mind I can now shop in M&S for some things which is great :)

Are we doing a new challenge for March/April? Easter Monday is 5 weeks? Shall we try for 5lbs by the Monday before Easter? and then celebrate with a little of what we fancy? Any takers?

Happy to report a 2 pound weight loss this week! I still dream about stepping on the scales and having an 8 or 10 pound loss but I guess I have to stop dreaming and stick to reality!!:rotfl:

I changed my diet around a little, reduced my fruit to 4 or 5 a day and had green days all week. This week I will do the same with the fruit but will have all red days - just to see if it makes any difference.

Still doing the gym 3 times a week, it gets easier every time! On Friday I did 1.5 km on the treadmill and another 1.5 on the arm bike plus my weights as well. It might not seem like much but believe me it is VERY good for me! At one time I could not walk across the width of a Tesco store without having to sit down and rest my back and legs:eek:

Well done do everyone and I am definately up for the next months challenge!! :T :j

    All the best

Hello to all, especially the newbies!

After mini-break and lots of birthday celebrating, aiming at a maintain this week - but instead LOST a pound! Not much by most of your standards but I'm very very chuffed, especially as I am now back to my pre-holiday weight :) Am filled with lots of motivation to go forward to enjoy some proper losses (so far have lost the same three pounds twice!) - and really must get to the gym!

Right, off to think of lots of healthy meals for this week ;)

Thanks Consultant31 for your thoughts on Cambridge Diet. Brain needs testing I know but at least I would hopefully get rid of a stone in the first month to start me off on the long journey which is always beckoning but not getting started :o . I haven't made up my mind still though so there is always hope the brain will trip into gear:p .

This thread is so long I was wondering if recipes and tips could be split into groups like the Money Saving Old Style is i.e. WW, SW etc etc. That way if you just wanted to look at SW for information you could and if you wanted to ask questions etc you could on this main thread:confused: .

Just a thought as to look back at all the pages is not possible because the site is slow these days and also time isn't always allowable ;) .

    Otherwise perhaps I have missed

EDIT: Whoops! I never went to the first page was just going backwards page by page. However after posting this I thought I would just click the first page and there it is - what I asked for re receipes sitting there in front of me. No hope for brain is there??

    Morning all.

Well done to the losers. I've maintained this week which is slightly annoying as I thought I might make the target . Ah well maybe next month.

Suggs. It's not what you weigh but how you look that matters. I'm sure with your gym routine you must be gaining muscle mass and if you're wearing smaller sizes it's got to be working.

I have to confess I'm a little hungover and could quite happily give the gym a miss this lunchtime but I'm going to force myself. I tell myself that all I have to do is 10 minutes then I can leave. Usually the adrenalin kicks in after 10 minutes and I do the full 45.
  • Morning all

    Hi all,

    here is our weight loses

    Elwyn lost 1lbs:j
sam STAYED THE SAME AGAIN

I think its time for drastic action, I am going to start either WW or SW. holiday is in may, and want this baby weight gone. We cant afford for me to go to the slimming clubs, I already have the books so just need to get myself into gear. AGAIN.
  • Kick up the backside most welcome. I'm hoping that not spending money for lent will help, as I can't go to the shops and buy chocolate (total weakness). Anyway I got on the exercise bike this morning before work, first time in weeks.

I really need to buy some more swimwear, the current pair I use are way too big, I frequently have to stop in aquacise and retighten the drawstring as it seems to loosen  Im certian its as the string gets wet it loosens? Not sure about Speedos though, however the choice in M&S of swimwear is shocking! Oh to have a single x with my L :)

Lois Thats three of us wanting (reitredlady, victory and myself) to lose 5lb by Easter can you please amend our targets? Thanks

    Anymore for anymore?
