Thanks for that - I find sweeteners don't give the same "hit" as sugar in the taste dept, I also find them "chalky as well?... splender could be a option (remember to write it on shopping list) - Please add me on the list
Splenda is great - I add it to desserts and porridge and it fools me into thinking I've had a naughty treat!I don't take sugar in tea or coffee but I find adding a sweetener to herbal tea improves the taste no end!
You'll be on the list on Monday night. If you make Monday your regular weigh in day and post the result on the thread I'll add it to the update. What's your total weight loss so far?

Mike I'm not on WW or SW. personally i'm with you on the £5 to get weighed thing, not my kinda thing, plus am a skint student so couldnt afford it if i wanted to!(although if i stopped drinking all that wretched fatty/sugary alcohol i could save a few £s and lbs!! problem soved!!)
I am envious of all the lovely SW recipes ppl on here use, but then they all get shared in the forums so no need for me to join just for them! Plus all that talk of green days and red days and syns confuses me!
victory dont let it get you down, like everyone has said already womens sizes are ridiculously random and what's too small for you in one shop can be too big in the next! it's so silly. Also, if you are short (like me) the sizes come up smaller. I used to work in a clothes store and my manager explained to me that actually a 'short leg' size 12, for instance, will be smaller than a 'regular leg' size 12! how bizzare is that!! Grr....
Next sizes are quite good, but the 'younger' the shop's target consumer is the smaller the sizes come up, so New look is impossible, and river island is not great either (even though it's for adults more than teens). In both shops i have tried on lots of pairs of jeans the same size on the label yet some were far too small, and others literally gaped at the waist! SO frustrating!!
I quite like H&M at the mo as they do waist size and leg size so you can find a better fit.
Dont worry about the clothes though, you've done extremely well and should be so so proud! I'm sure if you keep at it you will notice the difference soon, but so long as you feel good on the inside (more energy, feeling healthier etc) that's the most important thing!!
Had lovely HM lasagna for dinner (full of lean mince, courgettes and mushrooms) with only a teeny bit of cheese. Had sweetcorn and steamed carrots and leeks with it, so feeling v healthy and full of veggy goodness!!!
Gotta be good tomorrow in anticipation for weigh in on monday! (no more custard bloody creams!!!)Moneysavinghopeful :rotfl:0 -

katmad99 - I rather spend the £5 on fruit/veg instead. Money is a bit tight at the moment as I was out of work for 6 weeks in dec/jan so basiclly crawling back out of the overdraft (thank god it was there!). I know how student lives as I used to be friends with one. My problem when making HM stuff is I make too much of the good stuff (good cook - give me the ingredients and I'll make something out of it) and cus it looks tooo nice/good I have too much
I went though a period of the munchies for custard bloody creams!!!:rotfl: - soon packed that in then went to Tug biccies.. Not have biccies at the moment, but they are soo blinkin evil (and taste nice)
Lois Lane - I will put the splender on the shopping list for monday evening, will see how it goes and start to add it to herbal tea for the taste dept to sort out again

Hi all
hope everyone is having a good weekend
DD is ok now & i've calmed down having spoken to 1 of the other mums involved apparently the head wants to talk to us, wonderful  but OH reckons school shouldnt be involved cos the issue was outside school so nothing to do with them so we should be dealing with itwill wait & see what the head says when i see her
the curry was ok but i couldnt finish it & only ate half the naan bread so i guess thats something! yesterday was ok but not perfect food wisei had cheese on toast for breakfast (bad
) but a ww buttie for lunch (good
) and then steak & potatos for dinner (very tasty but not sure how healthy!) also had 4 cans of cider - think i need to cut back on my booze intake
today the food plan is ...
brunch - 2 low fat sausages, 2 eggs & baked beans - was yummy
dinner - roast chicken, roast spuds (but will only have 2 small ones) & mixed veg, also made sugar free jelly for pudding
see you all tomorrow for the dreaded weigh-in :rotfl:

victory, i bet you are a perfect size 17. Having lost all that weight you will have changed your bodyshape, and remember, what fits in one shop doesn't in another - wearing new-ish size 14 jeans yesterday I found that a uk 16 in gap was too tight, but a uk 12 in DP fitted. I always take 3 sizes into the changing room on the rare occasions that I go clothes shopping as it varies even in the same store - 2 pairs of trosuers from george, 1 14, 1 16, both fit the same. And in George I take a shoe size 6.5 when i'm at least a 7 everywhere else. Mike i hope you are okay about your car accident, what an awful thing to happen. You did the right thing in going to the police. And i'm glad Honey's feeling better and trying a different tack. I had jerk chicken and rice last night from the christmas SW mag(i think) and it was lovely although OH wasn't chuffed with the rice and wanted chips. Today is a red day so we are having roast chicken as it's 'roast a british chicken' weekend. Need to do some cleaning now!0

Hi everyone
I am doing the Sin & Slim diet which is online, I got an email from them this morning which I thought I would share with you, this is especially for the ones that get disheartened when you only lose half a poundIf you only lose around a pound or 500g in a week, just imagine a standard tub of butter or margarine has been lifted off your waist. Would that be a worthwhile amount of fat to lose in a week?
I hope this helps you think about the positive.
This diet encourages you to eat at least every 3 hours but one thing I have found is I get hunger pangs which I have not had for a long time, which means I often eat when I am not hungry - no wonder the pounds have piled on0
