Dawny do you live near Leeds or in the opposite direction??

Had to stand in the wind, rain and disgusting weather this afternoon for 2hours watching DS play footie. Other DS elected to stay in car and colour...* thinks why didnt I do that*:rotfl:

Took me hours to get dry and warm and really really really want one ( or 2 or 3) of the jam teacakes they are now eating. Anyone know the syns for them???

    I live in Wakefield

Victory I have had the same problem as you in the past and remember crying after been shopping, the changing room mirrors shocked me because I looked bigger than what I thought I was. I now know its the kind of mirrors they use and harsh lighting.

I tend to get jeans from Next or Dorothy Perkins as they are more generous and they do longer lengths. I got a pair a jeans from Next recently that have a higher waist which means I can tuck my tummy in:D

  • Confession time. I've been avoiding this thread because I've been avoiding the diet ! Anyway, I was going so well at the beginning of this year and I'm tired of being fat and unfit I am no longer going to avoid this thread. If I disappear again someone give me a kick up the backside.

Lois Lane - I've put on 1.5 lbs for the chart thingy.

welcome newbies and returners (shirleypark - I shall keep kicking ya over on OS!) Well guys I thought I have had a good week except for Friday when we had a chinese!!!!

But after last weeks loss I have lost nought this week so Lois - I weigh the same as last week!!! Really fed up but feeling bloated - never drank much water (I find it really hard to keep up with drinking lots) will try harder this week and I never had any adios tablets this week. I thought they were a load of rubbish but now I wonder and will take them again this week.

Hope everyone else has had a good week and Victory - glad you found your jeans!

    Take care all bbxx

Thank you each and every one of you for your lovely kind words about my disaster shopping trip yesterday:D ;)

I went again today....determination.... looked in different shops as you all said...found a pair of jeans that fitted (o.k they are a bit tight:eek: ) but they are a size.........16:j :j Obviously I bought them for that reason more than anything:rotfl: :rotfl: but also the young girl said they look smashing....sold:T :rotfl:

I have worn them all day and the circulation is slowly getting back to my feet:rotfl: :rotfl:

I will wear them until they fall off me:D :D

Oh well done you :j :j I bet they get too big for you long before you've worn them out!!

I never thought so in the past, but have decided that I'm lucky to be short waisted. I find that these low-rise trousers fit me in a smaller size than I actually am because the waist is really meant to fit the hips. If they're longish in the leg I can hoick them up to my waist and bingo! :rotfl:

My friend and I were commenting last week about how sizing has changed in recent years. She went to M&S (where they were always known for their generous fit) and had to get a larger size than normal. But the daftest thing was, she bought 2 pairs of trousers and needed 2 different sizes in the same shop. How on earth are we supposed to know what size we really are??

Welcome back ShirleyP. Re-joiners are welcomed back with open arms and we have a large boot when it's needed :D

Jojil I know it's too late now, but the Burton's jam teacakes are only 2½ syns each. Hope you've got over the trauma of standing out in the cold for all that time!
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Missed last weeks WI so this is two weeks worth but I have lost 2bl so so happy :j :D :j

Not been the the gym all week nor played golf so did really think I would have done it. Anyway now determined to be good this week. Going away with work for nearly 3 days so will not be able to drink much which is fine.

Planning our holiday to Spain so that is nice too, maybe I should set a target for loosing the last 7lb before then.

Look forward to hear how well you have all done however must get on with sone work now.
