I've lost 2.5 lbs this week so I'm quite pleased even though I spent Sunday comfort eating with chocolate!

I bought the ingredients I need to make chicken korma so I'm going to have a go at that today (free on original) but I normally nave naan bread with curry so unless anyone knows a sinfree way of making naan bread!!! I'll have to forgo that.

Thanks to everyone for the lovely posts, Im sorry to say that our lovly lovely freind passed away yest, so everything seems a blur at the moment, it seems such a waste and I feel so angry as she was only 42 and the nicest girl you coul want to meet, she didnt smoke, drink and would do anything for anyone, she was devoted to her family and was always so kind to my two children, i feel privalaged to know her. Since her diagnosis she has done everything they told her, but the disease was aggresive and she was so very very brave and dignified till the end. It puts everything into perspective, we has such a short time on this earth and we have to make the best of things, and enjoy. Her family are all smashing and have been so supportive of her, and I cant imagine how much they are hurting at the moment. I have to go as my head is in the shed,

Juliejim - Sharwood's mini naans are 4 syns each, so if you allow for it, there's no reason you shouldn't have one
Karren - I'm so sorry to hear that. You're right, it does put life into perspective. I've just signed up for race for life. I've done it before, and it's such a wonderful tribute to all those who have suffered with that cursed disease.

    HI all

Does anyone know a good recipe or way to cook red cabbage??? All I can think to do is boil it and I know there are lots more adventurous (? sp), flavourful ways

Jo have you looked at the Delia recipe for brasied red cabbage with apple https://www.deliaonline.com

It does make loads but freezes really well and is lovely!

Hi Karren, so sorry to hear about your friend. We do have such a short time here and to be taken so prematurely seems so unfair. I'm sure your friend will be glad that you were there for her and will continue to be with her family.

oh Karren, we all feel for you. take care of yourself and your family.

the crunchy bran is the one i like - the same one consultant mentioned, I put raspberries in the bottom of the bowl and it's lovely. Thanks for the advice about the popcorn, in the end I went to ASK for tea so didn't have any snacks in the cinema. Had a baked pasta dish - creamy tomato sauce, cheese, pancetta, tomatoes and spinach. I gave myself a HEA and HEB plus 5 syns which i think shoud cover me. It's funny OH asked me if i wanted to go to Tootsie's for a burger but I found myself preferring to stay within the syns. Looks like some good behaviour is rubbing off on me. Victory, I really enjoyed Hot Fuzz, but I love shoot em up cop films anyway. I was surprised at how graphic the few deaths thatwere in were though. Plus I used to work in a supermarket so the big shootout at the end had me howling.

Jen - have you got wedding pics posted anywhere? We'd love to see them! Have you met Grissom yet?!
