    Morning Ladies - and Suggs!

Woke up this morning feeling a little more motivated to start again, although I am really down in the dumps today and very weepy. Just arrived into work as had dr appointment, someone made a comment about me being part-part time and I started to cry  Its crappy having hormones isn't it :rotfl:
Have had weetabix for brekkie and have brought all free food for lunch. Just had 2 rich tea biscuits with the cuppa that my boss made me (to make up for making me cry!) How many syns - 1 1/2?
  • Hi Just a quick visit to get that recipe for meatballs but then decided to catch up with the thread first - 15 mins later and still here - Honey I really feel for you, you are such a good support to rest of us and I can only suggest that you try and vary your intake, it's hard I know and very disheartening, but keep going :D

Welcome to dawnydee73 I hope you like it with us and get inspired, and what a good idea you have at work.

Got to go and get that recipe now without further delay.

  • wow thriftykatie - 1hour 40 minutes! I take it back, you aren't me after all!!! I HATE the gym! I drag myself there as often as I can but I still don't like it. But i know i need to go. I used to really enjoy martial arts but i got to a level where I actually had to fight people and i didn't like that so much. I really enjoyed pad work and practicing moves and gentle sparring but anything more than that I didn't like. Must check out boxercise . . . . .

just got the march/april SW magazine and there are some fantastic recipes in it! Well worth the cover price this month. Off to force an orange down now. How anyone can get to 15 pieces of fruit a day is beyond me. I blame my mother for letting me get away with eating pickled onions for so long, it's destroyed my taste for fruit. Still I've achieved at least five a day for over 2 weeks now so I feel like i'm achieving something even if the rest of it went to pot for a while.

:grouphug: Rich Tea are 2 syns each, but you needed them so you can count them as zero!
Just had a thought, ask your Consultant about Fast Forward. It's very restrictive, but it will almost certainly get those last few pounds off. However since it's taking so much effort to get them off, do you really have to do it? I'm inclined to think that your body is trying to tell you enough is enough!

Lois (I'm hanging my head here) - got a 2lb gain this week. I'm not eating enough I don't think, but I'm still finding it difficult to tempt myself with 'good' food and seem to be craving cr*p. Still coughing like a chain smoker (and have never smoked in my life), but hopefully another few days will see me feeling more like my old self and getting back on track. Only 4 weeks to my hols and I really wanted to lose another ½ stone.

Welcome Dawnydee. I'm sure you'll get the support you need here with us. There's a recipe thread (go to post 1 and follow the link) which may help keep you interested and motivated.

Suggs I must be [STRIKE]getting[/STRIKE] old, I've never heard of Rods 'n' Cones, but I guess they must inspire you to work harder in the gym so it's got to be good! Personally the one song that fills me with the urge to exercise is Chain Reaction by Diana Ross, no idea why, but it does, lol.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

    Hi everyone,

Weight loss of 3 lb this week so well chuffed, that makes 1 stone and 7 lb in 8 weeks, not bad, seem to be a bit let down even with the 3 lb loss as I have barely eaten with the ear pain but hey ho it at least says you can shift weight by sitting on the settee crying in pain:j :j

Honey don't cry...we are all here for you:D

It would of been a good idea if everyone had carried on with it :D
Altough im having my 1st period for 3 years (sorry any men reading) I had my DD in 2004 and aunt flos never been since
2 months ago I was diagnosed with polysistic ovaries hence no periods. W e would like more children hence the diet to loose weight. So something good must be happening inside me even if its making me gain weight:confused:

I bet this is why you have put on 4lb this week, hopefully it will drop of again next week, hormones have got alot to answer for. But I think all the fruit I have been eating has made me bloated

'Rods 'n' Cones' is a piece of music created by the Blue Man Group, If I remember correctly it is played on drainpipes during a sequence concerning how your eyes work. Hence 'Rods 'n' Cones'

There is a video on YouTube playing it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVgB9VmWLZg
