hi lois I think you missed my weight loss of 1.5 lb last week.
I'm not going this week I'm giving it a miss. I've been away and have too much to do before the children go back to school tomorrow and it will give me a chance to get back on track. I havn't been food optimising at all and have had lots of treats. I'm going to read my books and start again tomorrow.HOW MUCH ?0 -
Wow been nearly a week since I've been online and so many posts to read!
Congrats to everyone on their losses - seems like lots of people are turning corners :j ... Commiserations to Victory - can't believe you're still suffering! I hope you're getting lots of TLC - the worst has to be when you're ill AND on a diet - talk about punishment!
Lois last week I maintained (again) and this week I'm plus 1 lb - somewhere there's been confusion - my total loss should read less 2 lbs (including today's gain) so please update when you get a chance.
Now you might think I'd be down in the dumps with my gain but actually I am very pleased! Went to Dublin, ate drank and was merry  (including late night meals and hotel cookies yum), then my birthday so have been having heaps of naughty food - and loving every second! Still not going mad - eg. last night I fancied a pizza for supper - even tho I r e a l l y wanted take out I used a supermarket one we had in - only 400ish cals and prob a whole lot nicer (mascarpone and ham from Tesco - a definite must eat if your eating plan allows!) so was a little pleased with myself. In view of indulgence therefore I reckon 1lb + pretty good, esp as I haven't been able to get to the gym for two weeks.
Birthday celebrations won't finish til next week - going out tonight, and we've got lots to get thru at home, (Italian meats, sorbet, ice cream, birthday cake...!!) although luckily the only chocs I've received are Green and Blacks assortment - easy to stop at one, and so fine! Suddenly realised start met training in 3 weeks  so will be going mad at the gym - hopefully this will result in a maintain (yes I'm aiming for a maintain - with all that yummy food ahead of me it's the most I can hope for!) this week, then will return to diet 'proper' as of Mon 5th March. That gives me two weeks to reach my new target of less 5lbs by 19th March (training start date) - achievable? I can but dream!! :rotfl:
If you don't have anything nice (or constructive) to say... DON'T SAY IT!0 -
Happy Birthday Catmeister
WARNING - RANT AHEAD
Well, I lost 1/2 pound. Am really pi55ed off about it. I have been the same weight since October with 1 on, 1 off ever since. I'm trying really hard, have been out walking too this week so Why, Why, Why can I not shift past this weight  I want to lose another 7lbs at least but its really getting me down at the minute. Have just come home from SW and eaten a kitkat and a creme egg cos I was feeling sorry for myself. Now I feel sick and have probably put that 1/2 pound on  Its days like this when its hard to keep going, I still want to follow the SW plan but I am paying £4.50 a week to go up and down past the same weight. DH has agreed to pay half my gym membership as he knows that its getting me down so I am going to ring tomorrow and see when I can book an induction. I am also going to see my GP tomorrow and will mention this to her too.
RANT OVER (sorry)

Honey28 I didn't put the meatballs on cos the recipe put up sounds nicer than mine:D
Had a craving for chips today, so was good and made SW ones, found some frozen quorn chilli I'd made in freezer so was really good. Kids had pizza and I didn't even pinch a piece.
Kids back to school today:j My nan always used to tell them that I would be standing on my head clapping my feet as they went out the door:rotfl: Youngest (9) still asks if I do...
Going to gym soon, good job arranged to go with a friend otherwise I would be sat watching TV eating the M&Ms my OH bought....with the comment "just because you're not eating them doesn't mean I can't" How supportive of him:D

Hi everyone!
I lost 2lb this week so i'm happy, except i'm not sure it's "real" weight loss because i wasn't feeling well all week and wasn't eating properly. My clothes feel tighter this week than they did last week (which is actually ok because i have to shop for more clothes before my current ones actually fall off!! hate shopping!)
I picked up my new e-bay bought bike this weekend and it's really nice! think once it's adjusted to fit me it will be much nicer than the one that got stolen and it didn't cost too much, so maybe fate had a plan? Either way, going to try to keep this one for more than 4 months......
Good luck to everyone else at WI!Proud to have become an Ocean Rower in 2010 (crossed the Atlantic in a crew of 4 ladies and had the best 77 days of my life!)0 -
well done to everyone. Honey I'm gutted for you. We all know how hard you've been working. Got stuck in traffic tonight so missed my gym class but still went in and did a workout. No weigh in today as the batteries in the scales at the gym had gone. Can you believe that? So put me down for a maintain again. I'm really needing to get moneysaving and SW working together agian as my shopping bills have been going through the roof because I'm taking advantage of free food - so saus and mash has meant a full pack of sausages each - normal ones for OH and quorn for me. No wonder I'm skint. Off to check out the meatballs recipe now, hope Victory is feeling better . . . . .
Oh and on the subject of men on telly does anyone watch supernatural? now theres a thought . . . .0 -
Hi all, there have been so many posts since I was here yesterday, I can't remember what I wanted to say to each person.
Congrats on the weight losses, they are really adding up now and some of you must be able to tell a difference in your clothes and how much more energy you have.
Victory, you poor thing, still suffering :grouphug: I do hope you're better soon.
Retiredlady, I'm so chuffed for you :T you must feel great! Personally I would have thought eating 15 portions of fruit a day should have been adding to your exercise routine no end. Up and down the stairs to the loo a dozen times a day
Petrichor is trying_really_hard the daughter you were telling us all about?
Catmeister hope you had a lovely birthday.
Jojilufc - chuck him out and get a fresh one who's more supportive:rotfl:
Honey I hope you don't mind if I chuck some ideas your way. You've probably tried them all, but just in case: do you change your HEs regularly? Try having something completely new at least every other day for a week. Go for speed (or superspeed) foods as often as possible. Try grazing rather than eating at meal times - having about 5 small meals/snacks throughout the day can have a good effect on your metabolism (worth trying for a week). Have you had a go at Success Express or even Mix2Max - the change could be just what you need. If you're not drinking enough water, try and increase it.
I hope some of this might help, otherwise I would be inclined to give up for a couple of weeks, then go right back to basics. Get out the book, and follow a 7 day plan to the letter, it could give you a really good "first week" weight loss.
KatiePC I can believe it, the batteries in my SW scales don't seem to last five minutes, goodness knows why. I always carry 2 spare batteries in my bag for class.
I haven't seen Supernatural, but I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who wouldn't miss an episode of CSI - best programme on TV, but I have to say, I prefered Grissom WITH the beard. I love the way he kind of 'quirks' an eyebrow and gives a lazy smile (phew!)I let my mind wander and it never came back!0
