retiredlady I am so very pleased for you! Now i'm inspired to start again properly - got my week's meals planned out and i'm looking forward to it. I had a fantastic weekend surrounded by zombies(!) and it was a huge success which means such a lot to OH and I - without going into the details he was part of a partnership that went sour and he lost a lot of money and was told that he wouldn't be able to achieve stuff on his own as the people in the trade didn't like him. He proved everyone wrong this weekend and i'm feeling like we can achieve anything so it's back onto SW I go and back into the gym!
I love CSI too - Horatio is my favourite but I agree about Callie, she's rubbish and annoying. I am particularly irritated by the way she NEVER TIES HER HAIR BACK at a crime scene!! How much evidence must she contaminate!! Sorry, got a bit carried away there. Petrichor, I agree with you that Grissom is better without the beard but he doesn't do it for me. I must confess to having a big thing for Harry from Spooks which s extremely disturbing as I'm only 29. He's just so cool and aloof and witty and you know that in his prime he was the English version of Jack Bauer. And don't even start me on him . . . . . . . off for a lie down now. Catch you all later!0 -
Hi all, I've lost 1lb this week - yeah!!
Was beginning to think I'd be permanently on 5lb loss forever! Only have another pound to go before I reach my first 7lb target!!
CSI is great, I love Las Vegas & New York, but can take or leave the Miami one.

Hi everyone,
Not been around for a little while as I've been really busy. I lost 1/2 again last week. That's two weeks in a row. I would like it to be a bit more, but as one of you says - slowly, slowly catchy monkey! At least it's going in the right direction now, which it wasn't before! Not holding out for much this week as I wasn't too good over the weekend, and I also had a TERRIBLE day on Thursday (bad day at work), so if I can just maintain I'll be happy.
Have planned all my meals out for the next week and a half, and did my first online tesco shop yesterday0 -
Great news retiredlady I feel very pleased for you, what a difference a couple of weeks make. I was also interested in your comment about the fruit - when I was getting annoyed the other week about the slow losses, someone on here suggested that I went through my diary to look at my eating pattern and like you I was having a large amount of fruit and even though I calorie count and hadn't exceeded my limit at any time, I thought that I may not be getting enough variety in my diet, so I reduced the amount of fruit - the result being that my weight loss has improved. I hope it works for you too.
We shall soon have a CSI appreciation society here, Katiepc you can have Harry from Spooks but I bags Grissom, Horatio and while I'm at it I also bags Alan and the blond bloke* from Boston Legal before any of you lot :rotfl:
Well at least it stops me thinking about food.

Afternoon All - great weight losses this week, too many to list them all so
WELL DONE EVERYONE!
What are you all like about CSI :rotfl: I havent watched it before but if they are as good looking as you all say maybe I should start!!
Weigh in tonight - bit despondant (sp?) about it as they never seem to go in the right direction. I have had the odd treat over the week but if I were to add the syns up for the week I would still be within my "allowed" amount. Oh well, all will be revealed in 2 hrs time :eek:0 -
Hiya- I`ve lost 2.5 lbs. Like retired lady, I am struggling giving up on the fruit but not quite up to 15 pieces!
Good luck everyone!0 -
Hello everybody! well done to everyone who lost this week!!:T
I've just come home from the gym and done my first official weigh in for this forum, and i have lost 1.5 lb!!
(wasnt sure as the needle on the scales kept shaking between 1 and 2 so just took it as 1.5)
v pleased with this as i have had a bit of a bad week (the odd bit of ice cream...wine...more booze....chips... all adds up!!) but i guess i wasnt as bad as i thought i was and i did go to the gym twice and swimming once and have done lots of walking.... so hooray! Cant wait to see it on lois's chart!!
i'm hoping to lose more next week as i'm feeling a bit bloated and heavy at the mo (know what i mean ladies?!) but should be feeling lighter and happier soon!
hope everyone is feeling well and had a good start to the week.
i'm off to the cinema this evening and will be taking some home made popcorn with me in a little bag to save on cash and calories!!!
