I had the same!!:D
Carvery sounds better though:D0 -
The carvery was lovely and very SW friendly. Unfortunately my resolve suffered a bit of a hiccup and I had a large ice-cream with chocolate sauce and a flake for pudding - it was gorgeous (is there hope for me, lol). I'm sitting here now with a large glass of hot water and lemon in the hopes it wil cancel all the syns in the ice-cream :rotfl:
ThriftyK when you're out in a downpour with a waterproof coat on, your legs get even wetter than normal since it runs off the coat and channels straight down your jeans and into the shoes. Still, look at the body magic award you should receive for all that energy expended :T
Victory, try not to deny yourself too many treats or your resolve will waiver. I try to think along the lines of how I will want to be able to eat for the rest of my life and that is definitely going to be with meals out etc. Whatever plan you're following now has to be continued for ever if you're going to remain slim. If you consider that you're on a diet which, one day you'll come off, that's when you'll start to put the weight back on.
Reading that back, it doesn't make much sense, but I hope you see what I mean!
BargainBabe good for you, you are obviously very determined.
Ste-ste, that's an excellent attitude to have. If being knocked back (by a bit of a gain) makes you more determined to stick to the plan, I'm full of admiration :T
Petrichor did you watch last night's CSI yet - it was very gory, but very good (as always). It's by far my favourite show, though I do like the Las Vegas one too. For some reason I really can't get on with CSI Miami though - the cast seem very wooden to me, specially the woman with long blonde hair - her expression never changes at all (aren't I !!!!!y, lol).I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Yes I know exactly what you mean but my character has sheer determination in it and that holds me to this healthy eating plan without veering off at all...that and the knowledge that at last I am getting an appointment with the diabetic nutritionalist I asked for back in Jan on the 5th April and I so want to go there lighter and ask her how to sustain the weight loss for life, what I should eat, when etc so that this unbelievably dull part of loosing weight will not happen to me again:D
I was reading an American website of people loosing vasts amounts of weight and the line....do not consider this as a diet, as punishment but consider this as a healthy eating plan for life...treat it like a beautiful journey....one that will find you at the other end happier, healthier, slimmer, the real beautiful you:D Very American I know but I have to disagree about this loosing weight being a beautiful journey:rotfl: :rotfl:
More like:eek:
It will make me slimmer, healthier, BMI down etc but a beautiful journey:eek:0 -
Afternoon All (Morning Consultant
) - sounds like you needed the extra sleep - I'm a great believer that its your body telling you it needs a rest - thats my excuse for going to bed for an hour this afternoon :rotfl: Had a headache so went to lie down for a while - woke up over an hour later. Oops!
While I was sleeping DH and kids found a tin of celebrations which I had hidden since Christmas and they have eaten about a 1/3 of it. They will have some explaining to do when we go to my parents for dinner and none of them are hungry. I had 3 - think that works out as 6 syns. I agree with you consultant that you should have a little of what you want, and I hope you enjoyed every last bit of your icecream.
Victory - Mine has definately been a journey via the scenic route! In some ways thats good as I am losing but still living life the way I like - other times when I am trying really hard, I wish I was taking the motorway route!!
My plans for joining the gym tomorrow and having an induction have been scuppered. Kids are on half days all this week  and have to be somewhere else in the morning. I am determined to try and fit it in this week though.
Am going to see Dr this week. I am going to discuss having my coil removed (sorry if this is too much information!) I have had constant headaches since it was fitted and I am sure it is affecting my ability to lose weight. When I do have a really good week and lose nothing its very demotivating. My consultant read over my food diary and couldnt see where I was going wrong. Anyone else have the same?0 -
I maintained this week and was a bit miffed, but there were a lot of people who had gained. Our consutant was looking over some food diaries and said she didnt know why but if people didnt use their syns then they were less likely to loose...
She told us all to use our syns and enjoy this week and see how we went:D Thats exactly what I'm going to do.
Have got a recipe out for meatballs for tea which says it is free on red days but 5 on green but the sauce is made from all free foods and I'm using the mince as a healthy extra so I cant see why?Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me???:o
DS's back to school tomorrow:T :j
I put those crackerbread thingies in the toaster to have with an omelette I made at lunch, went out to dryer and came back to find toaster on fire:eek: House still smells of smoke:rotfl: hubbies gonna come in from work and wonder wot we've been doing. Think I'll blame the kids:rotfl: :rotfl:

It's very hard when nothing happens after a 100% week, but I don't honestly see how the coil could be to blame, unless it tends to make you retain fluid (have you asked if that's a possibility?). But when I had one, many years ago, I do remember I had a lot of headaches. There are many other forms of contraception which don't have side-effects, I hope you find something that suits you better.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Yes, I think its the fluid retention bit, and it lists weight gain as a side effect  As this was the last resort I have told DH if it comes out then it's celibacy as the next form of contraception
:rotfl:
Jo - dont worry about the maintain - at least it wasnt a gain - we like maintainAs far as I know, consultant will be able to correct me if I am wrong - the syns are if you are not using the meat as a healthy extra - a lot of the recipes will say, for example, 4 syns if not using cheese/meat/fish as healthy extra. That is probably the reason why. Where did you find the meat balls recipe - its something I promised DS I would make and havent got round to it.
Had dinner at mums, refused the dessert, although I really wanted some :A then said I had changed my mind but they had divided my portion out between them all and eaten it. Oh well, better in their stomachs than mine lol0 -
Honey
Have known people with the same problem with the coil.
