Hi all:D Just back from the ENT.... they took out the little white pellet thingy they put in on wednesday.. I was told it is still infected but will heal in the next week with ear drops, iburofen and to make sure it gets no water inside...

I have spent the last week mostly either crying, rocking in pain or sleeping through final exhaustion so to hear it is on the mend is good news:j

PETRICHOR....glad you didn't mention your story yesterday lol xx

Someone mentioned soya beans... I did look at them in the freezer section of Sainsburys but they seemed to be high in calories so put them back and decided to stick with the free veg I eat....

Still cannot find anywhere the crackerbread anywhere?

Maintained this week, which I was upset about last night but the consultant looked at my bodymagic thingie and said it could be to do with what I've done at the gym this week. (I did CV but have a programme with free weights now which I'm really enjoying). Anyway apparently I could have lost fat but developed muscle which would weigh the same or more:confused:

Felt better this morning tho cos got a pair of jeans on easily, which I've struggled to do up before.:D

Kids behaving today, even on a dreaded trip to B&Q.

Glad lots of people are feeling better now.

  • Hey there Snake-hips :rotfl: hope you've got the techie problem sorted!

Honey I've been doing some detective work and have discovered that the High Fibre Crackerbread are stocked by Morrisons, Netto & Nisa stores (according to the Ryvita site). The difference between them and the original ones that you've got is apparently 23 cals and 0.4gms fat per slice, so it's worth looking for the HF ones.

Victory, so glad to hear you're on the mend!

    SuzieW, you're welcome ;)

Suggs, it's often difficult to understand these peculiarities in the slimming industry. But as far as bagels are concerned, they are low fat and relatively low sugar and actually quite filling, so they would be a fairly healthy option (specially if you compare them to something like croissants). The thing as far as SW are concerned, I think, is the amount of flour etc in them (for instance an average muffin is also about 8 syns) and the fact that they have very little fibre. I shall be having them in a few weeks when we go to New York and s*d the plan :rotfl:

Thanks Consultant - its a pity we dont have Morrisons, Netto or Nisa over here  Now, I don't think that the crackerbreads that I have are made by ryvita.....must go and check.....

The box is rectangular and yellow with red writing. There is only one place on the whole box where it says Ryvita and it's tiny. Look on the back where the nutritional panel is and right at the bottom it says "Made by the Ryvita Co. Ltd". I suspect they will be the ones and they're only 19 cals per slice (the HF ones are 17 cals) so I don't think I'd worry about them too much.

Yip, they're the ones ;) Thanks for the research. I actually quite like them, I had some couscous for lunch with salad and chery tomatoes and I used the crackerbread to "sandwich" it together. I had a couple for nibbling on when the Friday Bun Box made its appearance in the office. They think I'm mad. Its possible :D
I'm freezing tonight, have a splitting headache and am tired so Night Night All - I am off to bed with my hot water bottle and book - (although I went to bed last night with the same book and ended up bawling my eyes out - quite hysterically - cos it has a sad story - I'm a big Ginny Ann :rotfl:)
  • Incidentally Honey (or anyone else who can't find the HF Crackerbread) you can have 6 Finn Crisp Multigrain (NOT Multigrain Crispbread) if you can find them. I've never seen them so can't recommend, but at least you can have a lot. Still, you can have a lot of ScanBran too, so that's no recommendation :D
