Glad most of the poorly people are on the mend. I have a cold which is taking me by force and I don't want one!!! I feel really hungry today - even though I could taste nothing yesterday. I have now had five full days without chocolate (except for one of the 'heroes' chocs - someone offered me one and I just ate it without thinking and for some mad reason still feel guilty about it!!! - so as it was little and I didn't taste it - I am not counting that!!)
I feel heavy today too, I must just keep my mind on track - I feel better already for eating healthier and my shopping trolley looked wonderful yesterday, beautiful colours of fruit and veg and as my kids love fruit and nowadays don't eat junk - it makes life easier - if I don't buy it I can't eat it!!!
Have a good healthy weekend all - I think weekends will be the hardest for me!! Take care and I'll log in on Monday after the big day on my scales!

Good morning :grouphug: to all of us that are still feeling rough:D
I am sure this thread is keeping the NHS in medicines we need to get better:rotfl: :rotfl:
I am off on a mission to find the crackerbread thanks consultant for the info:D
Weekends are hard for eating I agree but that is when you need to get more active...walking...house work...visiting friends and family...keep on the go and it gets easier....
I have introduced set times to eat in my healthy eating plan (every three hours) like so many of the online websites say to do so that your blood sugars stabilize and you don't go crazy through hunger....yes agreed I clock watch a lot waiting:pbut it is coping mechanism especially when the weekends can be long and boring if nothing happens (rather be at work at least then you have set times for lunch breaks etc) and TOTM which has been my downfall, might help you:D

Great to hear people are feeling better. Victory that ears sounds awful. Consultant glad your dad is better make sure you dad gets plenty to drink so it does not happen again.
Been quite busy today, bought new furniture last SUnday and it arrives this Wednesday. Need to get rid of the bed (table doing well on Ebay) but it has 4 draws under it and the new ones doesn't so had to do a lot of chucking out.
Took lots to the dump just could not be asked to put it on Ebay. I mean who would want old taps, 2 old scanners, a fax machine I could go on. Feels great to have got rid of it all I tell you.
Been OK diet wise, only 2 1/2 glasses of wine last night.

Just a quick hello to all (though there doesn't seem to be many of you around). Had a busy day today, but it's been lovely weather for the most part - a few showers, but they were short ones. Going to have a very lazy evening, watching Casulaty, CSI and Law & Order.
Hope the pain goes away soon Victory, did you find the HF Crackerbread?
Looing forward to my tea, the SW curry sauce with a HEB of chicken and a load of HM 'fried' rice - yum. Aha, there goes the cooker timer.....it's ready.
TTFN :wave:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Well fingers crossed I'm back on track - sure it was TOTM that caused all my eating (as well as the alcohol - think I'll have to stop going out although that won't stop the drinking necessarily.... emmm)
Woke up this morning with a completely different attitude - isn't it odd how one day you can eat everything in sight and the next get some willpower back?
What did it for me was the realisation that it's 5 weeks today that I go to Oz so I really need to get on with. I can make a difference in 5 weeks but need to be very focussed. Would like to lose 10lbs before I go. This might seem alot but if I keep at it at the gym AND watch what I'm eating I may just do it. However, I'm not actually sure what I weigh at the moment - I haven't made my mind up whether to get weighed on Monday as after the week I've had I [STRIKE]think[/STRIKE] know I will have gained again and it might make me despondent, but there again at least I will know what I am up against. Decisions decisions.
Had a good day food wise and just been to the gym - 600 calories burned so feeling pleased with myself. Also got lots of chores done in the house and that always makes me feel good (doesn't happen often enough that's the trouble) and it's nice sitting here in a tidy room rather than surrounded by chaos. Better make the most of it as it won't last long, especially as DD returns tomorrow from her Barcelona field trip.
Made some parsnip and apple soup for lunches for next week so off to freeze some of it now. Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone.
Hope your ear is better now Victory - you must be really fed up with it.Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
The soup sounds lovely Katie - how do you make it
Had a nice day too, potted some spring plants in pots (funninly enough!) the outside of my house looks nice now although the garden needs some work. Got word through this week that our planning permission for the extension has been passed so hopefully that will be starting in the next month. Went to a pantomime with DH and kids and have just talked DH into making my dinner - salmon, HEB of baby boiled potatoes and some veg. Made Jelly with quark mixed in for afters.
Am relaxing with my book, only a few chapters to go, enjoying a treat of a glass of shandy while I keep one eye on the Ireland v England rugby match - We're in the lead at the minute
Lois - havent seen you around for a day or two - hope you didnt get struck with the flu bug. Havent see Rachelmk around for a while either - Wonder is she off on her travels again0
