Morning all. Just an update on my Dad, he seems much better and obviously the period of confusion must have been an infection which is responding well to the antibiotics. It was scary though while it lasted!!
Feel like singing from the rooftops "I feel good, dadadada!!" and so glad to be over the flu thing. I still have a cough which is very annoying, keeping me awake etc, but the listlessness has gone and I'm enjoying my food again - don't know whether to be glad or sorry about that though!
Has anybody tried these Birds Eye Soya Beans I keep seeing advertised and if so, where can I get them from?
Jojilufc, keep your chin up, it'll soon be over, lol.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Not sure if he's the one but he's more of the one than the one on Tuesday if you followHad a great time and and didn't stop talking all night - we got thrown out of the bar at 12.30 so this morning feel sluggish and tired - good thing it's half term.
Alcohol no good for losing weight though - did well during the day yesterday then drank a few (or more) glasses of red wine and came home and ate all that was in sight. Now just had a fried egg sandwich - but hopefully can be good the rest of the day. Did go to the gym yesterday and hopefully might get there today if I can drag myself away from MSE and get all my chores done :rotfl:Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -

Glad the date went well thriftyKatie.
Hope all goes well for you today Victory.
Had a very "nibbly" day yesterday - hoping wont be struck by the nibbling bug today and am trying to be good for the rest of the weekend. Not out anywhere this weekend so should be able to be good. Have walked to and from school all week for the kids, DS still grumbles about it but am going to stick with it. Havent done anymore about joining the gym - I would love to but just find it hard to get time to go - DH works most evenings so need to organise babysitters. Its all about juggling innit!0 -
Honey, walking is just as good as an exercise form (and it's free).
Glad the date went well ThriftyK, shall we have to buy a hat yet?:rotfl:
Bought some New York cinamon and raisin bagels in Asda yesterday (they were on offer and I can never resist a bargain). Ate 2 in blissful ignorance, then thought I ought to check the syns. They're over 98% fat free and look as if they may be wholemeal - I expected some syns, but they're 11½ each:eek: Anyone want a spare bag of delicious bagels? Actually I've decided to freeze them individually and have one on a Sunday morning as a treat (can't throw them away, it's the MSE in me, lol).I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

This is what does confuse me Consultant, Items that we think are "Good for you" may not be as Good as we think.
I know the bagels are lovely, but seem to remember 240 odd calories each? of course I only discovered this after eating one, with marmite.
I tend to work on low fat/low calorie foods, as like Honey I can get the nibbles very easily. Gone through 6 yogurts in 4 days so far. Asda "Good for you" one. I also have the little packs of raisian and dried apricots to hand as well. Now what telly advert was it, that had the strapline..."You never know when the nibbles will strike?"
I had a good week in the gym, did four session actually in the gym, 1 half mile swim and an aquacise class. I started to cramp up in aqua though, right at the end of the class. I would like to go for a swim this evening, but the gym i use is part of a hotel and you tend to get a number of guests using the facilites Friday early evening, so Its not really that easy an task.
Im looking forward to rugby tomorrow, might even allow myself a pint or two.

hey everyone, looks like we're all having fun! I'm hunkering down for a mad weekend - working on one of OHs events on the door all weekend. Decided not to have the zombie makeover he wanted me to have after all. Will be doing my best to avoid the hotdog wagon but it's not looking good. Have a great weekend everyone!0

Just thought I'd pop over here to calm down a bit (been delving through the techie board to try and sort something out but to no avail yet, ready to pull my hair out).
I'm pleased to read that your Dad is on the mend Connie, and that you are feeling a lot better too, everything seems to come at once doesn't it and it does get you down, but don't think that you have to catch up on all the eating this weekend
I hope that Victory is OK, a while ago I had to accompany my mother to the ENT and whilst we sat in the waiting room a young lady went in for treatment to have some 'packing' removed from her ear, the screams were horrendous, it terrified me and I wasn't even waiting to be treated!! I decided not to mention this yesterday just in case it's what Victory was having done.
I'm having a strange few days in that I am not feeling particularly hungry nor having any nibbling cravings, not that I'm complaining I hasten to add. Yesterday, when it came to the evening meal I'd only had 430 cals all day, so I could have had whatever I wanted but I just had something quite healthy mainly to make up my calorie intake. Why can't it be like this all the time? I hope that this weekend doesn't turn into the weekend from hell to make up for it.
The work on mini-stepper is going great, I was pleased to see that some of you are also doing the home excercise/dancing stuff, I found that by watching the television instead of the dials on the stepper the time flew by and I'm now up to beginner status :j It's surprised me just how much it makes me sweat so I must be doing something right. I can understand why a session in the gym is better because when your legs get tired you can go and some other form of excercise for the non-aching muscles. If I could do what Suggs does I'd have the hips of a snake.
Oh well back to the techie board or to the garage to find the biggest hammer!!
Have a good weekend everyone
xxxxI wish that I could be the oldest AND wisest....sadly it's not the latterbut my time will come _party_ wooooh hoooh! Beware!!!!!!!
