On sw you could try skewers of pineapple and banana marinated in orange juice with a sprinkle of brown sugar and then BBQ or in this weather grilled! They're brill!0

weighed in last night, lost 1lb so 16lbs to date, but have to get back on track as had a mega blow out last night, half a bottle of cava 2 baileys and a vodka ! i seem to lose the plot a lot these days, i think ive cheateda few time and still lost so thought well I can do this all the time, but there is no point in paying for classes then cheating myself by eating high calorie rubbish! I did do the warm up of the liberty x dvd, what a load of tosh, its aimed at professional dancers and doesnt seem to be explained properly, so have rooted out an old rosemary conely video, it was fab the leotards and hair were staight out of the 70's so it made me smile!! so wish me luck I need it for the coming week as I am going to stick to the diet and get on the trainers and go power walking more.:A :j0

Gosh, so many of you are ill we will need to start waving the unclean flag :rotfl: I hope you all start to feel better soon.
Consultant - re the crackerbread - she didnt mention that they had to be the high fibre ones - how do you know if they are? I only saw one type in Sainsbury's when I bought them - I am only reading this thread after munching my way through 7 of these throughout the day
ThriftieKatie - glad the date went well
Decided that since it was such a nice afternoon I would walk roudn with DD to get DS from school. DD and I had a lovely walk round and when DS came out I got " why are we walking and he moaned the whole way home  Have told him he takes the car for granted and we are going to walk as much as possible if I get home from work early enough! Lets hope I stick to it!
Having another red day - I do find that I am hungrier though. Been nibbling on dry crackerbread (I like them dry) when I get the munchies. I did a very naughty thing (I blame Suggs - he started it :rotfl:) and jumped on the scales mid week. I appear to have gained 2lbs - lets hope its off by Monday. Having gammon and red cabbage and apple for dinner. DH is having mashed spuds with his, best go and start cooking it!0 -
Hi All
I've just been to SW but I couldn't stay to class as DH is on a night out so I've taken the kids with me then come straight home.
Lois

It says Hi-Fibre on the box and I think the box is a darker colour - more amber than yellow. It's ages since I bought any and I seem to recall they're a bit harder to find than the ordinary ones. Don't panic, I don't think they're more calories each, it's just that you're not getting the fibre necessary for them to be a HE. All the different types (I thinks there's 3 or 4)are 1 syn each, so it's not a catastrophe!
Mel, your skewers would take on syns since the fruit is cooked (daft I know, but them's the rules).
cjp, have a look on the recipe thread (post 1 and follow the link), there are several sweet things on there. A quick and easy pud that I like is mousse. Make up a sugar-free jelly using about half the amount of water. Leave to cool, but not set. Whisk in a large tub of vlf fromage frais. The more you whisk, the more the volume increases and it's all for just 2 syns. You can also add some chopped fruit in a matching flavour (strawberries with the strawberry jelly etc).
Poor Ice. Dry toast is probably the best bet and avoid any dairy stuff - it'll make it worse. Hope you're better soon.
Katmad, if you're following SW, have you ever made the potato quiche? I love it, but then I love potatoes in any form. Cook and slice the spuds. Lay them in a flan dish (add peas, sweetcorn, onion, peppers if you wish). Whisk 3 large eggs, mix with a tub of vlf cottage cheese and pour over the potatoes. Cook Gas 6 for about 40 mins till firm and golden..........yummy!!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hi all  waves flag - yes me too, I'm full of cold and feeling very sorry for myself, and DH is coming down with it as well so we didn't make it to dancing class tonight. He's not getting off with it that easily though - I bought a ballroom dancing DVD from Amazon so we'll be rolling up the rug to practice when we're feeling better.
I've updated the chart - click here to see it.
I hope everyone who isn't well get's better soon, and I hope being ill means I lose some weight!!

HELP! I was doing so well, then had a chest infection and my appetite went. As soon as I was better I ate a lot to make up for it. Than last week we went to France for a few days - lots of meals out and red wine. Now I'm back and I can't seem to focus on weight loss or get at all motivated - quite the opposite. I should have been weighed at work tonight, but couldn't face it - I think I might have put it all back on! I then felt awfully ashamed about missing it and went & bought a big bag of M&Ms and scoffed the lot. What can I do? How do you keep motivated? I've decided to go in tomorrow and get weighed anyway, even if it is in private, as this might wake me up. Any more tips. Why is it so hard? I'm really feeling bad about it all. (please ignore Jan weight loss in signature - it's probably all back on by now).Weight loss - here we go again - watch this space!

Thanks for that recipe consultant, i'm not on SW but it sounds delcious and i always have plenty of eggs so i'm going to give it a go one day soon. Do i have to use the cottage cheese? is that what makes it proper quiche?? i might just make it like a big omelette on a potato base. would that work? (i've actually never been a fan of real quiche, dont like the consistency, so maybe just egg would be best for me?)
Thanks
ps. did a bad thing and polished off the B&J ice cream during desperate housewives, but at least there's none left for me to spoil my diet with tomorrow!!!Moneysavinghopeful :rotfl:0 -
Hey everyone!
Don't have any weight stuff to report, just wanted to say thanks to everyone who's sypathised about my bike! Haven't decided where to get a new one yet - i've been offered an old heavy one from work but i want something i'll enjoy cycling, because otherwise I just won't!
The other good thing is that as i've been doing more sport since joining this thread in January, and i'm that bit slimmer, people at both sports clubs have started commenting on how much my fitness has improved! :j Thank to everyone who makes this thread such a supportive place! :TProud to have become an Ocean Rower in 2010 (crossed the Atlantic in a crew of 4 ladies and had the best 77 days of my life!)0
