Anyway off the gym tonight and will book into next week twice then no excuse for not going.

We all have days like that (I've certainly had more than my fair share since Christmas). I have tried to treat each day as a new one, so some are really good, some are far from it.
One thing I have been consistent about is working hard at the gym - in fact if I had been really good about what I have been eating I would have lost double the weight I have, but I'm trying not to dwell on that. I am much fitter than I was, my clothes fit great and at least I am losing at a steady-ish rate. Like someone said in an earlier post, I want to be able to keep the weight off when I've lost it, not put it all back on when I go back to 'normal' eating.
Today I did 20 minutes on the cross trainer (level between 15 and 25 - burnt 160 calories), then did a programme with weights and the Swiss ball which took about 50 minutes, then I did 25 minutes on the treadmill - 15 running at 0.5 gradient speed 8.8 and the rest intervals- 240 caloreis) I can't always do such a long workout or burn so many calories, but I try to go 4 or 5 days a week, even if I only have time for a half hour session.
Going to really try and cut out the in between snacks - I eat an oatcake or a few almonds and think it's ok, but I think over the day I'm eating more little healthy snacks than is healthy for me!Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
Stayed the same weight this week which is very annoying. Finding it difficult to lose the weight I have put on after a hysterectomy op. last year and have developed a love for raisins
Despite the raisins(!) being very good but definitely more bloated than before. Where is my flat stomach when I want it!0 -

Hey Katie. Have to agree with you on this one, I find myself snacking mid morning and mid afternoon, usually something like rice cakes, sunflower seeds and raisins or almonds. I should probably watch it though as it soon adds up!! Although part of me thinks that I could be snacking on worse things and I know they're doing my body good (well, the almonds and sunflower seeds perhaps!) by eating them.... Infact I feel almost virtuos that I'm not craving crisps and chocolate now, although the weight still isnt moving as quickly as I wouldve liked.
My sis text to say she'd lost 7lbs in her first week on WW (and its not as though she weighs a lot to start with!), I wonder how she does it. I guess she has a faster metabolism (not hard when I have an underactive thyroid) and we are built differently, but she can lose that much without going to the gym, and it will take me about 3 months to lose it. Grrrrrr!!;)
Went to the gym this morning so a night off for me tonight, so I think I'll watch "Lost" (new season starts here tonight, not sure if its on for you guys already!!) - am off to Melbourne next weekend for work and I'll be eating out a bit so I dont mind being extra good at the moment. Just wish the scales would move a bit more....
I did take my measurements a few weeks ago, but then blimmin lost them, haha, so will have to start again!!
Have a good day. xx0 -
Glad I'm not the only one Ms_London!
Sittng watching tv last night I got the munchies again but was trying really hard not to have nuts or oatcake etc (having already eaten my 'ration') so I decided to have a carrot but run out (going shopping later today) so as I like raw swede I decided to have some of that. Peeled the outside but couldn't be bothered to chop a bit off so sat with the whole thing, thinking 'just a little bit'. My daughter came in and wondered what her mum was up to sitting with a huge of swede and sitting eating it like an apple!
Well it stopped me eating anything else and kept me busy for about an hour as I chomped through the whole lot! Definitely got my 5 a day yesterday - all in one go I reckon!:rotfl:Proud to be dealing with my debts0
