Oh well BeanieLou, did you have a few off days or had you stuck to it rigidly?

  • Yay I've lost 1/2 stone since Christmas :) Still a long way to go.

Anyone have any tips for motivation when you're in it for the long haul ? I normally end up getting miserable by about week 3 and binge.

Hi question forthe SW mob. What (if any) other yoghurts are free? I've tried the muller light's but they're just too artificial tasting for me.

Great day at the gym yesterday. I used to do 10 minutes on the rowing magine then 30 on the bike, but now I've introduced the cross trainer and do 15 on each. Seems much less tedious.

Good Morning! I too have a long way to go. :o:o

What I found that worked for me in the past was - after sticking to the plan for several weeks I would start to lose my resolve. I would then plan a "non diet day". On that day I could have what ever I wanted, whenever I wanted it.
I found that I really didn't go all that mad!:T But it felt good knowing that I could if I wanted to, and I felt more on track the next day. My food of choice was always a pizza - about 60 syns!! And even more strangely when I did have one of "my special days" I never put on weight that week!!
    Its a funny old world isn't it?:rotfl:

That is what I am going to do as I am in it for the long haul and am finding it despressingly boring monotonous and the more my mind thinks I cannot have it the worse the time I am having:j

I planned to eat today but had huge row with H so will not... instead looking at Mother's day to have a non diet day(yes, long way off but if I keep moving the goal post.....) :D

  • Hi all. I'm so glad to be back, not least because it means the end of a bout of this flu-type thing that's doing the rounds in these parts. Though, by reading the posts of the LW10 (?) thread, it seems to be going round most of the country.

Lois if you'd be so good as to double my weight loss on the chart - yes please, double it!!! The only good thing to come from feeling so rough is that I just couldn't eat at all. Everything tasted foul and the only thing I'm managed to get down is water for the last 7 days. In the event, I've lost 8½lbs (how shallow am I to feel so chuffed???)

My son always says it does him good to get a cold now and again, cos it's only when it goes that he appreciates how nice it is to feel really well and I do now appreciate just that. I feel really good, though I'm still not back to eating as normal (hurray) but at least I have my senses of smell back and food is beckoning me a little.

I've read all this thread, but not the end of LW9 so I'm not completely sure what I've missed. It's nice to see so many newbies still joining us, though I was sad to see Petrichor go (I've pm'd her, so hope we might see her back among us).

Edimew there are lots of free yoghurts, but one of the nicest seems to be the Lasting Satisfaction one from Shape. Look for the magic words very low fat and you won't go far wrong.

Got to pop down to the village and stock up on some goodies. The cupboards look like Old Mother Hubbards at the moment and the fridge has never been so empty. It's great to be back :happyhear
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Well Done Karren - it great to get over the first stone bracket and into the next, you must be chuffed :T

Welcome back Consultant, we all missed you. My cupboards sound very similar and in fact last night ordered shopping online from Mr T because I still dont feel up to venturing out to the shops, especially since its half term and will have the kids  Well done on the weight loss too :T
  • Morning all

Just read my SW book properly and discovered that low fat natural yoghurt is not free just VERY low fat. Is that right?

Have eaten lots of it all week, breakfast with fruit etc and now found have had more syns than I thought.

Why didn't I read it properly to start with??:o

Got to go shopping again and buy right ones... is it the same for fromage frais?
