Have you spoken to your GP - perhaps you have thyroid or similar problems which would slow down weight loss:confused:.

Exactly what I have godammit, and I'm only 26 (had it since birth actually!!). But it definately makes it harder (read:impossible!) to lose weight.

Petrichor - I know how frustrating it can be, so perhaps as Honey28 says, you should go to your docs & have a blood test - its demotivating seeing no movement on the scales, but you are doing your body good eating healthily even if you arent losing weight (although I understand how it does boil down to the weight thing at the end of the day!!).

Slightly O/T but I wonder if there is a thyroid support group out there, would be good to chat to others!!

Anyway, good luck with your weight loss everyone!!

    xx

I've put on 2 stone in the last 5 months due to my treatment for Lymphoma, I am going to start exercising more and I was wondering if I could join your club thing?

    Thanks

Lots of post well done to all the looser especially Retiredlady see that makes up for that horid time you had at the pictures.
Suggs your gym rutine is really impressive, I do 25 min on crosstrainer, 2500m on the rower (about 12 min), 10 min on the bikes, 60 abcrunches on the fitball and some strechthing before my 45min Pilates Class. I am booked twice this week so will now hopefully carry on as I am not staying away for a while.
Shame about Petrichor I hope she looks back and reads all the messages.
Also where is Consultant I really miss her anyone know where she has gone.
As I maintained again last week I am determined to be good this week. Will cut down on drink and stay off junk = biscuits, sweets and cakes.
Hope you all have a great day is it nice and sunny here and I am off to see a client.

  • morning ladies and gents :hello:

    i've maintained ... again :(

well, at least i didn't put on - that's how i have to see it.
also i thought i was rather good last week
might have to start a food diary -

maybe that's something else whoever is losing patience for not losing anything - a diary might help see the goods and bads

just having a rough time in general and that certainly doesn't help.
i always need some comfort food :(
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work ;)
  • but well done to everyone else who lost, maintained or doesn't lose the spirit even for gaining :T:T:T

oh btw, i loved the pictures - i knew there is a reason why i love this thread :D (lifted my mood again :T)

Tallgirl thanks for your words, its good to get feedback from other people, good or bad. I used to row, but for the life cant remember the distance/length Im thinking it was along the lines of yours though :D Tonight I will aim to double up and do the gym followed by aquacise. Then to my parents for dinner. Just need to encourage this belly to go a little bit more, I used to use one of those abcruncher type roll bars in the gym, but someone broke it :(

Karren good luck tonight. Lots of people I know have had the virus going round. Looking after my neighbours son now who's had it a week. Had her other one week b4 so must be my turn next week. Just in time for half term:eek:

suggs your gym routine sounds great - wish mine had a swimming pool too... got a sauna, steam room I never use but no pool

Had a sneaky look on scales this am (I know I shouldn't:shhh: ) but look to have lost a couple of pounds hopefully. At least that made me step away from the chocolate bar...gave it to neighbours son instead:D
