Hoping I hit my lowest point yesterday as I couldnt handle talking , so I got in my car and tried to block out the hurt with a bottle of JD and drove to a cliff top near me
I must have passed out as I came too shivering this morning about 4am in my car.Went to court, he was fined and ordered to pay compensation to me for injury sustained and they amended the restraining order so that he can continue drinking at our local.....
I just don't believe it-he can go drinking yards from my home and told me he will see me bankrupt as not agreeing to sell house or contributing to his share. What can I do, I dont feel so low today, but I have given up, I dont see the point anymore, all direct debits out of account, so now cant afford food, fuel or the tablets.
I will try to contact shelter tomorrow, i just feel washed out, especially as in court he came across as a charmer and then his solicitor asked for the restraining order or non molestation order to be amended so he could drink in our local pub, by time I had left court and got home, his car was outside it

'the reason he is doing all these suicide attempts is because he is either desperately unhappy and does not want to live anymore, in which case they would more than likely have been more serious as people who genuinely want to die don't mess about.
I suspect however he's doing it to make you feel sorry for him and to smoke screen his affairs and to make you feel bad - don't allow him to mess with your head like this.'- he admitted his attempts were for effect
I just don't know where to start, Im still praying I don't wake up if Im honest, but today just proved that he hates me for whatever I may have done and is now going to ensure that he ruins me, my bills paid for this month, glad I have no appetite as unless its free- whatever!!!

Heledw - first and foremost leave the booze alone. Drinking has never improved anyone's situation. Alcohol especially when upset is a no-no. One takes a sip and ones feel better and because of it one ends up boozing to oblivion ! Alcohol is also a major depresant. Leave it alone until you are completely back on your feet. If you want trouble to follow you then keep boozing!

Well done for coping today. It must have been difficult, but you did it. Please don't let your EX drag you down into the mire. He obviously had no regard for you with his two women. Don't let him drag you down.

Pearl, I dont actually drink, my mum was an alcoholic and I have chosen not to drink, I have an occasional glass of champagne for Christmas and birthdays.
The reason for the JD on the last two occasions was that hopefully it would numb the pain and any second thoughts I may have had....

  • Angel, I'm so glad that you've come back to us. I've been really worried about you, too. There are people out here in the virtual world who give a damn about you and what happens to you.

Try and forget about him and his problems and try to concentrate on yours and see if you can make some plans.

Have you had a look on either the easyroommate or the flatshare websites for a lodger? If you can find a lodger and they pay you a month's rent in advance plus a month's rent as deposit that could be next month's mortgage payment sorted, right there.
  • I'm sorry. As soon as you mentioned knocking back a bottle of JD and then going driving, then driving back to court and home again whilst still under the influence, I just stopped caring anymore.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
