Turtle, Reuben definitely sounds like he's ready for some food! How did he get on with his dinner?
Gilly, hope you feel better soon.
Good day here, had brunch with a friend and met her two-month old boy - he's soooo cute! LO was a bit miserable this afternoon, but then did the world's biggest poo and was all smiles afterwards. Glad she got rid of it before bedtime!
Have decided to keep her on two meals a day for the time being - she has a big two/three-hour nap in the afternoon, and when she wakes up at 4-5pm, she just doesn't want solids. If she's hungry she wants milk - nothing else. I've tried giving her food that I know she likes, but she still doesn't want it - she keeps her mouth shut and then criesBreakfast and lunch are going really well - she'll eat pretty much anything, she gets excited when it's food time and she always eats a lot. So I've decided to keep it that way for now as I don't want her to start associating food time with something negative. She's only six months + a week, so if we wait another few weeks before she has three meals a day I'm sure she'll be fine....

Wouldn't worry Nutella, they say 9-10 months for 3 proper meals a day

Mozzy
sorry am too cheeky lol x
Nutella - agree with Gilly, also Scott only started weaning at six months so if she's doing two meals now she's doing well x0 -
I'm so glad to be finally joining the weaning ranks!!
Reuben had some banana, I can't post a pic as I'm on my phone, but it went well! I never realised bananas are so slippery though, sometimes he would grab it and it would slip out of his hand like a bar of soap!
He had a good old munching, no smiles, very serious faces, but he kept putting it in his mouth so must have liked it I suppose?! He chomped a huge bit off, gagged and pushed it out (I stayed calm, go mummy!), he later bit off a smaller piece and mashed it around his mouth then swallowed it! Very impressed...I've only done it once and already i love BLW lol!0 -
BLW is fascinating turtle, one of the first things A had except fruit/veg was meatballs and watching him eat them made my day, it's amazing they just know what to doThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

He is so tired when we get home. He was dropping off as we were drying him after bathbless him.

Hello all
Feel free to skip over... Just a ramble about things I learnt going on first holiday with Scott (now 10 months:0)
1.) a holiday with a baby is not well a holiday in the way they used to be  if you accept this sooner it leads to less frustration
2.) halve the amount of toys/books you take, we took a ton and really only used the jumperoo (u didnt think I could manage without it did you ?)
The learn and groove table, soft toys and some stacking cups.
3.) we took the carry cot for naps (he only Just squeezes in) but we didn't use it as guess what ?! He did not feel the need to nap it was far too exciting unsurprisingly so only a few zzzz on the cushion was had by Scott!
4.) take a few more clothes for u and bubs as u know the holiday puke is coming and....
5.) take two spoons when going out as u know one will be thrown on the floor... u can not take enough wipes and kitchen towel.
A shower curtain was taken too to protect the floor from Scott enthusiastically lobbing his food...
6.) we found it easier to just set up a changing area using the spare coffee tables wedged between sofas to stop the roll lol as I can't bend too much. Beach towels are handy to protect the bed, we did feed Scott in bed and used them to protect pillows and when changing.
7.) this was great we even put it on those highchairs with no post between the legs to stop them sliding http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0037253S2/ref=redir_mdp_mobile?creative=22206&creativeASIN=B0037253S2&linkCode=asn&ref_=asc_df_B0037253S210664090&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&!!!!!googlecouk06-21
8.) things Scott loved included Meerkats (sigh I thought he had more taste..) harvest mice, tropical fish, swimming, table tennis (!), pool (with his feet), the beach, feeding ducks and chasing Dylan the dog.
9.) hope your not asleep yet0
