Sunshine Charlie is crying to go to bed as soon as he gets home. So sad as I barely see him. It's basically bath, bottle and bed as soon as he's home, so I only really see him for about 30min in the evening

fingers crossed he is ok tomorrow when you leave him. Just think you're halfway through your working week already
Just ordered a few more maths and English practice books for the boys off eBay so hopefully they will be here soon.
Noah is 8 months todaygone sooo quick! He is getting better at sitting up now too, he can sit unaided for a while before toppling over and head butting the floor!!

Hugs sunshine, itll get easier. I'm sure the nursery staff are used to mums ringing up alot in the first few weeks.
Turtle glad you're enjoying weaning already! I really regret starting with purees, today he had a bit of carrot and spud mush for dinner with he ate (spoon fed) really well, opening his mouth for the spoon etc but no real enthusiasm, then I gave him some toast soldiers and his face just lit up before I'd even put it on his tray! At teatime i gave him a spoonful of my goulash and rice on his tray but im fairly sure none of it went in! Got a couple more jars of pur!e in the cupboard but I'm tempted to give them to a friend and just crack on with blw. Getting on with the book much better now I'm passed the "why" and on to the "how".
Anyway, I'm bunking in with G tomight as OH seems to be coming down with a cold and is sniffing non stop. Night all xNewborn thread member

Turtle, yay for weaning! :j Glad he enjoyed his banana! I read somewhere that dipping slippery fruits in oatmeal or flaxmeal makes them easier to handle, or cutting them with a crinkle cutter is also supposed to help as you get a better grip. And chopping a banana lengthways makes it easier to hold onto. Needless to say, I haven't yet tried any of this as I'm still terrified of choking, but it's on my to do list for tomorrow
Ro and Gilly, thanks for the reassurance re. three meals a day.
Sammie, hope the boys keep up the good work and continue to put their clothes in the laundry basket. I bet they will now that they get English and maths books as a reward!Oh, and well done Noah on sitting progress!
Ro, sounds like Scott enjoyed his holiday - hope you did too! And well done for bringing the jumperoo along - that's true commitment to the cause!
Sunshine, sounds like Aiden is doing well - and more artwork for your fridge!Glad work is busy though, I guess it helps you get through the day quicker, there's nothing worse than clock watching.

Morning all
Hope everyone had a good night - ours wasn't great, and then she decided to be wide awake at 6.15am... I'm tired! Breakfast went down well though - banana, papaya and cottage cheese. It was her first time trying cheese - I thought I'd made too big a portion, but then she scoffed the lot! Lentil and vegetable stew for lunch - will be her first time trying lentils
Nothing exciting planned for today - need to go to Sainsburys, but the weather's miserable so I don't particularly feel like leaving the house at all.0 -
Morning nutella
I want to come to your house for breakfast!
Just got back from the school and I'm soakedNoah always looks comfy in his buggy with his cosy toes, blanket, hat and gloves and I look like a drowned rat!! I really must invest in some waterproof mascara too!
Not much planned here either as the weather is rubbish. DS1 asked when I'm going to make some cakes next so I might have a baking session tomorrow. I might pop out to the shop at sometime today to get all the bits though.

Morning ladies.
We had a rubbish night too Nutella, up 3 times and up since 6. I look like death.
Sammie, I always want to get in the buggy with George when he's all snuggled up, not fair that we have to push all the time!
I'm not going anywhere today, got a courier coming to collect some stuff and a tesco online shop coming this afternoon, and its tipping down so I think a day at home is called for.
I got an email from the asda baby club yesterday about some cheap gift ideas they've got on offer, not looked at it yet but might be worth a gander at their website if anyone's still on the market for crimbo presses.Newborn thread member
