We haven't had anything either, and were told by the nurse who did the last ones that there'd be nothing now until she's a year old. Sounds like someone at your NHS is confused or got his age wrong somehow?...

Thanks ladies, good to know I'm not going completely mad :o. I'll let you know what the hv says, I guess it's just a system error or something.

Hope everyone sticks to the new rules sammie!

It's tipping down here today, and I've got to get to the post office, weigh in clinic, baby group and then into town aswell. Going to get soaked.

    Morning all :)

Average night here - LO only woke once for a feed at 1am, but then she woke up for the day at 6.30am...

The weather's a bit miserable here too - grey and wet and windy, but we're going out in a couple of hours for brunch with a friend; will get to meet her two-month old little boy for the first time! Am sooo glad we can finally start being around other babies again now that the diarrhoea has gone - I've been feeling really isolated over the past couple of weeks.

Have a good day everyone :)

The OH gets problems with his digestion. He had violent hiccups for 48 hours once - the quack had to give him antipsychotics and temazepam in the end :(

Glad it was ok in the end sunshine, hopefully tomorrow morning will be easier.

I've been meaning to ask - we've been sent a reminder from the nhs that G is ready for his next jab (pneunoccocal?) but I thought after the first three they didn't get any more til a year old? Or am I totally wrong as usual?! I'm getting him weighed tomorrow so will ask the hv but just curious if you've had the same thing at 6-7 months?

Does it come from somewhere in Southampton? You're fairly near there aren't you?

Their computer's up the swanny - every time I've had an appointment through for Freddie it's been on the wrong day, or he's been called twice, or only two weeks between appointments (the first lot of three must be at least four weeks apart).

In the end I just booked directly with my surgery and ignored the letters.

To directly answer your question, when I took Freddie last week for his last of the set of three, the nurse said 'Nothing until he's a year now when he has his MMR and whatnot' so I think you're right.

We're cuddled up under a blanket watching CBeebies. That's what maternity leave should be all about :D
  • Sounds like my kind of morning Nutella! Enjoy!

G is down for his first nap already, thank goodness. He's totally frustrated at not being able to move around - he refuses to sit down and just goes as stiff as a board trying to hold himself up, and if you do get him sat on your knee he digs his pointy little fingers into your arms and drags himself into a standing position on your knee. Starting to think he's going to bypass crawling altogether and go straight to cruising the furniture. Tbh, the sooner the better - my arms can't take much more and my ears definitely can't take much more of his yelling!

Fluff - I'm not sure where it comes from and I've left it right next to the cot with my car keys on top so I daren't try and look at it now! Could be Southampton though I guess, will check when he wakes up. They sound like they're really on top of everything with that catalogue of errors!

    Morning

    Yuk it's raining here too.
We haven't heard anything about jabs either katiechoc.

Well so far so good, there was no dirty washing chucked on the floor, it all went straight in the laundry basket. Not planning on going far today, we are having new smoke detectors fitted today so have to be in in the afternoon anyway. Luckily being n electrician, DP knows quite a few people in other trades so we are getting the smoke detectors fitted cheap!!

Sunshine - hope Aiden didn't get upset this morning.

  • Hi all, been awol as sky have mucked up my internet at the new place (still not sorted 10 days later!). Been keeping up to date with you all on my phone but can't remember it all!

Reuben has some chocolate ice cream at my niece's 18th birthday meal...only two tiny bits on the end of a spoon, but he loved it! So cute. Naughty mummy for giving him something dairy AND full of sugar! He is still driving me bananas not sleeping, he's up every 2 hrs and wants feeding (and seems hungry) - he doesn't feed that often in the day time, argh!

Right got a new mum (and baby) friend coming over in a bit so best go make sure I have coffee/milk/biccies!
  • Sammie, random question, how come OH isn't fitting the smoke detectors? If they are battery operated then anybody with a screwdriver can do it, and if they are mains operated with battery back up well then that's an electrician's job. I work in maintenance and it's always the sparks who fit the mains wired detectors.

Sorry didn't mean to butt in, just didnt want you to spend money if you didn't have to! :)
