Afternoon all,
I'm half-way through a pack of Asda Little Angels Size 2 nappies, and thinking towards which brand to try next and was wondering what your experiences were? We had Pamper size 2 before these as they were on offer, but want to save a few pennies by buying a supermarket or own brand nappy as he's going through them a lot - we've had trouble with leaky poos from both the pampers and the Asda ones now. I've heard that Aldi ones are meant to be good, but the supermarket is rather out of my way, although I suppose it's as far as Asda was and I can buy some things at Asda whilst I'm in that direction. I've heard varying reviews on Lidl own ones (they are much closer for me) so not sure whether they are worth a try or not. I've heard some nappies are better for boys than others too. Jonathan has a long body but his legs aren't very chubby, which is why I think they were leaking.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Sexymouse- noy sure about own brands as have never tried them ony have used huggies and pampers, I found that I got poo leaks if his nappy was too full with wee. Niall is also long and skinny. I did a reusable nappy trial and have ordered smartipants and fuzzibunz for him.
Maybe I havent got thrush my only symptoms are red nipples and shooting pains in my breast. I havent noticed any symptoms with Niall apart from being irritable which is he anyway lol
Dh took Niall round his brothers for a couple of hours so I got my first bath in months and then proceeded to jump from one house chore to the next. They are back now and Niall is laying on me sleeping.
Tried to allow Niall to soothe himself to sleep last night but I think it mde things worse as I then tried to get him to sleep using usual methods and was running out of patience after an hour and a half so dh took him downstairs so I could get some sleep. I then ended up cosleeping as he would fall asleep after a feed.

Well today has been productive - went to a baby tabletop sale this morning and got a 3 pack of brand new 3-6month white sleepsuits (TU) for £2.50, 3 white 3-6 month vests for 30p, a 0-3 month cream pramsuit for £1.50 (looks really long so I'm sure J will still fit into it for a while), 2 blue 3-6 month sleepsuits for 50p and a brand new velour 3-6 month sleepsuit for £4.50. Then I went and got my hair cut and enjoyed some me-time (including an extra cup of tea and biscuits as I'd told my hairdresser that I don't get a chance to drink cups of tea before they're cold usually at home) and bought a non MSE couple of meals for 1 and a bread and butter pudding for our lunch today. This afternoon I've just finished making a pumpkin loaf cake to take to our halloween themed baby sensory class tomorrow (it's in the oven now so hope it turns out ok). I've got a lady from freecycle dropping in a few 0-6 month sleeping bags this afternoon too.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

We use Just4bums from kiddicare and they're great; cheap, delivered to the door (free if you get a couple of boxes at a time), and we've had no problems with them - the odd explosion but I think you're going to get that occasionally with any brand. Also if you buy too many in one size and LO gets too big you can exchange whats left for the next size up.
Sounds like you got a few bargains!
Laura - hope you have better luck with him self settling tonight! G has been a nightmare today, don't know if its his teeth or what but he wouldn't settle at all and normally he's fine if left to his own devices.
Thanks for the deal Ro, hopefully there'll be some in stock if anyone tries to order one this time!Newborn thread member

I have trouble too, sm as f has quite skinny legs. The best at the mo are the Naty ones from waitrose. It does depend though, on his age and weight. Pampers active fit good too."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

We have one of these, it was given to us by a friend after 2 of her kids used it and it's great.
Keep an eye on ebay etc because it'd have to be pretty robust to have survived 4 toddlers and still be going strong :rotfl: so in this case second hand is with it!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
