Gosh I'm so glad Reuben takes after me not his dad for mornings.....830 is a normal "up for the day" time. And sometimes he lies in. So even if we have a terrible night, i know once he's back to usual we will get a nice long lie in.

Like today - he was up late last night as wouldnt settle....turned out to be a LOT of bottom wind! But anyway he sat with me quietly on the settee so that wasn't too bad, and has woken up for the day about 15 mins ago.

On the odd occasion I've had to wake him up early (say half 6, 7 ish) he's a right grumpy little so and so. Definitely takes after me lol!

  • Sexymouse - I thought I have a thrush infection as well, have had pains in boobs on and off and on Friday the pain was more frequent although it was better today, I have been on probiotics for about 6 weeks as I had a lot of antibiotics during labour as well as some for mastitis so it would have killed off my good guys.

I am wondering whether I should go the go about the possible thrush. Doesn't anyone know what they are likely to prescribe?

Niall has gone from sleeping 4-6 hours to up every 2/3 hours at night, he is 11 weeks today and hope its just cos of 3 month growth spurt. He does also seem more hungry in the day, I fed him today had some active time with him, he still looke hungry so gave him 110ml of expressed breast milk as well.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekends. Had Niall in his snow suit for first time today, all you can see is a head lol

Laura this article tells you all about thrush - I have all of the symptoms listed, but Jonathan only seems to have the gassiness, irritability and nappy rash as symptoms - no white mouth etc.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Quiet day today (yesterday?). We were out most of it as some old friends from uni came to visit, and we've just got home from one oh's colleague's birthday party - a 21st! Felt so old! G was really good considering the noise and number of people trying to tickle his feet etc nonstop. I know they mean well but still... He just had s major screaming fit as I got him ready for bed, seems calm now so with any luck he'll settle for a few hours. I'm too old for staying out til midnight partying!

I thought I was getting thrush around the time of my 6 week check, as I was getting a lot of shooting pains and sore nipples. Asked the doc and he just dismissed it with a 'you'd know if you had it'! But he was right though, it just passed with time.

Morning ladies, how did all the LOs get on with the clock change? George has been very good, probably because he was worn out after the party - was up at 5 and then just woke up now at 7. Good job as I've got a bit of a headache, only had two glasses of wine!

Just realised how mardy I sound in my last post - I love it that people want to play with George so much but last night people insisted on fiddling with him when he was asleep and trying to get to sleep, despite me andOH asking them not to. That's what annoys me.

Katie Reuben slept until 930 (so 1030 really) so lovely Sunday lie in for me!! :j although when I went to bed he was in his cot and when I woke up he was in bed with me....but I don't remember getting up!!

I totally understand you on the messing with sleepy baby issue. At least your OH is on side, we fell out because at a (his) family BBQ I took Reuben indoors where it was dark and quiet to feed him at his normal nap time. I sent the kids out when they tried to come in the room, (not nastily, just "no playing in here please, Reuben is trying to sleep"). And when MIL came bargin in moaning "is he STILL feeding? What do you actually do all day at home, just sit and nurse him constantly?", i said he's napping and you can all have a play when he's done. MIL, SIL, BIL and SS all moaned at OH at how unreasonable, rude, unsociable etc I was being.

None of them realised it was them who was being unreasonable IMO, reu is a baby and he needs his sleep and his routine. He only napped for 45 mins and we were there all afternoon - THEY are the ones old enough to understand patience and consideration.....yet thy expect me to force my then 3.5 month old baby to stay awake to please them....when all they had to do was wait 45mins....

Lol Katie now you've made me rant.....but I completely understand how you feel!

Glad it's not just me turtle! Sorry your OH is no use though.

George is very restless today, pretty sure it's teeth although there's nothing to see. Flushed cheeks, dribbling like he's going for a world record and gnawing on anything he can get his mitts on. Won't nap at all. I'm sat in the back room with him with the lights off but he's just wriggling around non stop. Think if he doesn't go off soon Ill stick him in the buggy and head to town.

    Very quiet on here again!
