Sexymouse, you are such an inspiration to carry on with the BF'ing. I only managed to express for the first four weeks which I know is better than nothing but I really admire you for perservering.
Turtle that's great news!
I have just sat and written a list of LO's symptoms, which by googling do point more towards an intolerance. I am now armed with them ready for my meeting with the Health Visitor on Mon. Can the Health Visitor prescribe anything or is it only GP's that do that?
I have also stopped the Soy milk and feel much better about that although straight away the spots on LO's skin seem to have worsened again so definitely going to mention that to the Health Visitor.0 -
Evening ladies!
Wow turtle that sounds great! Well done, after everything you went through with the tribunal you definitely deserve it
Sexymouse sounds like you've had a good day all round (except the thrush).
George has just excelled himself - first poo in the bath! Seriously grim.Newborn thread member

Bellola, definitely sounds like an intolerance - hope the HV is of some use on Monday. Only GPs can do prescriptions, but in my experience many GPs have limited baby-related expertise, so taking the HV's advice and recommendations to the GP might strengthen your case and help you push for what you want. Lots of luck and a big ((hug)).0

Thanks Nutella. Will speak to HV on Monday and get some advice then I'm thinking I might sneakily book an appointment with one of the young doctors in the practice as hopefully they will just prescribe me something whereas an older one might be more against it.0

...And if you're lucky, that young doctor has a small child themselves and can relate to your predicament0

Katie poo in the bath :eek:0

Katie I can relate - was told by the health visitor to try having a bath with Jonathan to help with biological nurturing, and he pooed in the bath with me in it! Ended up having to have a shower!Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
