Sorry brain fog - re nappies we use pampers actifit in the day and either pampers baby dry or little angels at night.
We have found little angels just as good as pampers on the whole. We don't like huggies or boots as they leaked. I try and pay as little as possible for the nappies. Family bargains was a good source of pampers actifit when in size 3.

Sainsburys have 3 for 2 on the larger carry packs and they are £9.99 a pack. Works out less than 11p per nappy on the size 4s I think it was. X

sexymouse nappies - depends on cash and convenience I suppose, but we've been on aldi mamia since my stash of free huggies size 1s ran out, and from what I can see they are cheaper than the brands even when the brands are on offer - I'm currently on size 3, at 9.6p a nappy, smaller sizes were even cheaper. If money isn't an issue for you - stick with what you know. If money is tight...well I'd say a trip to aldi is worth it. I find aldi better than lidl or asda for meat, fruit and vegetables, and for the nappies of course! Plus there is always random stuff on offer, so its worth a trip there for me, even though its out of my way. Also their washing powder and liquid is quite good too.

Oh and as for body shape....my boy is skinny and looooong, slim waisted, not a lot of meat on his bum or thighs, and he dresses to the left, and no problems with the mamia ones at all. I recently did a trial of Pampers for a website....p1ss and !!!! got everywhere that week, was so glad when they ran out!!

Any of you ladies watch Homeland? I'm addicted to it, it leaves me on the edge of my seat and I want to see the next episode NOW! :)

Morning ladies, any sign of that pesky tooth sunshine?

I need some inspiration please ladies - my mum is starting chemotherapy tomorrow and I want to send her a little box of goodies for when she gets home as I won't be seeing her until next week or the week after. So far I've got a big bar of dairy milk, a couple of miniature nice bath things, possibly a microwaveable heat pack thing...any other ideas? And I want to make a sign for George to hold so I can take a photo of him with it, but I can't think what to write on it - get well soon isn't really appropriate. Maybe just something like "hi Gran, thinking of you xxx" . What do you think?

Edited to add: turtle I love homeland! I've only seen the first series though, are you on the second one? It's one definitely one of the best shows that's been made for a long time. Have you seen Breaking Bad? That's really good too

katie sorry to hear that your Mum needs chemo. I've heard that it can give you mouth ulcers, so it may be worth putting in some bonjela or similar too, maybe a nice hand cream (something like neutrogena in case her skin becomes sensitive), a slanket? Some magazines or puzzle book if she's in bed and wants something to do, or maybe a box set of DVDs, some fluffy socks to wear in bed. A soft/wooly hat in case she gets cold. Mouthwash or chewing gum to take bad tastes away in case she can't face brushing her teeth.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Thanks ladies. I'll take a walk to town later and see what goodies I can find. Kicking myself for not having thought of it sooner! Going to see if I can maybe get some flowers delivered too. She's pretty matter of fact about it - this will be her second course of it, last one was a few years ago. It's one of the less aggressive forms of cancer but there isn't a treatment that can get rid of it for good, its always going to be there so the chemo is to keep it at bay for as long as possible. We're kind of used to the idea now but then sometimes I think about when I got married two years ago my gran was there but the chance of my mum being at George's wedding are slim to none. it's hard :(

Sorry to be miserable. I'll feel better when I've got some treats in the post to her.

katie how about this...you mix the ingredients in to a dough, form a circle (or whatever shape you want) and make an impression of George's handprint or footprint. Bake it in the oven and it sets. You could write something around it in the dough etc. Got this off one of the ladies on Facebook, can't remember who though, recipe is half cup salt, half cup flour, quarter cup water. Knead in to a dough. Make impression. Bake at 200 for 3 hours.

My nan has the same - it'll never go, chemo just makes it back off for a while, but ultimately it will win. It makes you feek sick just thinking about it, doesn't it.
