Have fun Sexymouse, the first time is always intimidating but after that it gets easier and easier.
First night in ages that we've not had a wake up, thankfullyhopefully we're over the worst of it. x

Katie, my LO did it the other way round - she mastered rolling from tummy to back before she could roll from back to tummy... I think there were a couple of weeks in between. Now she just rolls and rolls and rolls forth and back - when I'm trying to change her nappy or get her dressed, when she's supposed to be sleeping and generally whenever she gets the chance!0

Well Reuben and I had a day out today at a university open day with my niece....Reuben was soooo well behaved, except during one of the talks, it was deathly silent, and he did the loudest burp I have ever heard! It was in the style of barney from the Simpsons!!!!! Everyone was sniggering, even the person giving the lecture had a little smile on her face!!! :rotfl:
Katie I know how you feel...Reuben rolls on to his tummy in his sleep and then wakes up crying cuz he's face down and can't get back!! Fingers crossed they both figure out how to do it in reverse soon0 -
Survived first solo trip out, although I cheated a little as was meeting my friend for coffee and she watched him whilst I went to the loo etc. Next step is to go out completely alone and see how I go.
Jonathan is definitely going through a growth spurt though - I'd taken a bottle of expressed milk with me, and fed him, and within an hour, he was grizzling for more food. I ended up having to use a carton of formula in the same bottle (bad mummy, although I didn't really have any other option as he was hungry and I couldn't sterilise the bottle). He is 17 days old today, and at 14 days, he fitted in a sleepsuit our neighbour gave us that was up to 1 month old. Today, it was too short, and I put him in our 0-3 month old Next sleepsuits and although they are too long in the arms (had to roll them up), they fit in the body and legs - I have a super tall child I think - goodness knows how long he'll be in these sleepsuits for at the rate he's growing!Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Sexymouse, well done on first solo trip out
Sounds like Jonathan is doing really well - it's incredible how fast they grow! How are his eyes doing?

She's also covered in whiteheads on her face, I joked that she had acne but it seems baby acne is quite common. Has anyone else any experience of it?
My little boy will be 6 weeks on Tuesday and he has had baby acne since he was a few days old. Apparently it is to do with my hormones still being in his system? I can't wait for him to grow out of it (and the flaky skin on his face and head) as it is spoiling his cute baby looks!Survived first solo trip out, although I cheated a little as was meeting my friend for coffee and she watched him whilst I went to the loo etc. Next step is to go out completely alone and see how I go.

Sexymouse, mine is the same - most sleepsuits are too long in the arms and too short in the legs. Everyone tells me he looks really long yet when he was measured he is only on the 9th centile for length. I'm sure they measured wrong.
On the subject of going out solo. I'm going to attempt this next week but was thinking - if I wanted to go for a coffee on my own I don't think I could as I couldn't push the pram and carry a hot drink to the table on my own. Is there a way round this or will I just not be able to do it?0 -

In my experience, a member of staff will always carry your drink to the table if you're pushing a pram. Even in places like Costa and Starbucks, someone will offer to do this - and if they don't, just ask politely and there's no way they'll refuse0 -

As nutella says they do it if asked and Costa (here anyway!) Are pretty good at offering.
If you really don't want to ask you can pop the pram at the closest table to till (in my local one that's about 4ft!) With the brake on and collect your coffee.
Also m&co do all in one pjs without feet, which might help
Mine have all been long in the leg and skinny in the waist, which is great for sleepsuits but a pain in the proverbial when it comes to trousers and walking!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
