Aiden has 3 bottles of 7. But his portion sizes are quite little for solids. Lunch he attempts 1 crumpet or scotch pancake with a bit of cheese or a few of those carrot stick things. Tea he has our stuff blended up,.but when I see the pouches or jars in the shops I always think they are huge compared to what he will take. He enjoys yoghurt and fruit though.

Try not to worry though, they will only eat what they want amount wise. Thats what I think anyway. Will Aaron be re tested for dairy allergies as he grows? X

    We were doing 3 x 8oz, but it's most like 2 x 8oz and a 4oz if we're lucky.

I think the pouches just look massive, when you open them out there's not loads in them, all packaging. It's hard to say how much Aaron does eat as he just has whatever I eat, at lunch he might have between a quarter and a half of a baked potato with beans or some pasta with veggies in. We're having a roast tonight, so he'l scoff a Yorkshire pudding probably :rotfl:

Yes he should be, once he gets to around 1, they will test him again and see how he is. Hopefully it's something he'l just grow out of as it's a pest :o

Oohh we are off to my mums for tea so will see if he will eat a yorkie :) I am a bit of a sod for comparing him to others when I know I shouldnt.

I think mummys just tend to worry too much.

Hope he grows out of it too.

At least he eats and attempts finger foods though :) if he's not hungry either I wouldn't worry :) he's obviously just taking what he wants and like you say, you have a small appetite.

Yeah A loves yorkshire puddings, so I'd defo try them with Aiden, I think he'l love them, why wouldn't he, they're yummy! x

Hope everyone who had a bad nights sleep gets some rest today. We weren't too bad last night, only waking up for two feeds and settling straight away afterwards.

Well done on managing your first solo trip out sexymouse. I still haven't been brave enough to take Eliza anywhere other than on walks in my village.

Did anyone else leave baby in sleepsuits all the time for the first few weeks? I put plain ones on her at night, and cute ones during the day. I originally meant to get her dressed properly, but I find the sleepsuits so much easier. Hubby thinks she should be dressed, but as I'm not going anywhere I don't see the point.

Hi katy, lara was born the day after your daughter and i always keep her in sleepsuits, maybe I'm lazy but she seems uncomfortable sleeping in trouser & top outfits. Your good for going out to the village I've only managed a quick trip to Boots and to register her and round the small local park - I'm still recovering from the birth and finding walking any distance quite difficult!

Good about 2 feeds in the night too, we're feeding 3 hourly but touch wood she sleeps in between so I'm pleased with that. :)

  • Hello - gatecrashing here again :o

Can any mummies recommend a highchair? Looking for something around £60 but £100 is the maximum price really. Would like it to be height adjustable and have washable everything but apart from that I'm open minded. Anything I need to think about when buying one?

    Thanks in advance :)

I have the Cosatto 3sixti. I love it, but I think its slightly over budget. I would have gone for the Cosatto Noodle if I didnt get the 3sixti. Cosatto are a brill company and 4 year guarantee x

We've been given a monster of a high chair by a friend (fisher price one) but a friend who's got a 9 month old came to stay with us for two nights recently and brought an Ikea one ( http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40140046/ ) with, which dismantles easily to fit in the car - it breaks down into the seat bit and the legs which are quite compact (something I'd not thought of). He's currently 9 months and largely baby-led weaning and it seemed to work really well.

My boy can escape the ikea antilop even strapped in, so if you end up with a mini houdini may not be ideal. Is good for mess though x

Day clothes - we had George in vests pretty much non stop for the first month or two (born in May, so was pretty warm a lot of the time.) Would definitely have been sleep suits at this time of year though, much easier. Now he normally wears a long sleeved vest with jogging bottoms.

High chairs - our flat is tiny so we've got one of these at the moment http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7324435/c_1/1|category_root|Nursery|14417537/Trail/searchtext%3EBOOSTER+SEAT.htm. I expect there will come a point where we need a proper high chair but for now this is perfect for us.

We were very unmse today - despite having about 15 vtech Walkers on my eBay watch list we got one straight from Argos :o and although the plan was to save it as a crimbo pressie he's been playing with it already. Oh well, at least we'll get plenty of use out of it ;)

Edited to add: I'm now back to square one for Christmas presents so recommendations welcome (again)

  • Hi ladies

Hoping to join you soon. Quick question for any of you who have been induced. Is there anything I should be doing to prepare myself for induction tomorrow morning?
