I've just done my first night feed and I'm now attached to the pump making the next one. Tired tonight.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Katie I'm glad to hear nights are improving, you've had a rough time lately, fingers crossed it carries on!

    Sammie :j for teeth!!

On the subject of high chairs - do I need height adjustable? Is it essential or a gimmick?

We had another good night here, cot at 10 (could have been earlier but naughty mummy wanted to watch homeland!), sleep til 5ish, feed and sleep til 8:30, feed again and he's still asleep now!!

He seems to have fattened up the last couple of days, all of a sudden his t shirts are getting a little snug around his arms and he actually has a little belly when he sits up.

I got a bit sad last night as Reuben was laying on OH and he is actually longer than OH's shoulder to hip....OH is 6 ft 3 so he's a tall man, I remember when Reuben would curl up on his chest in hospital and was so tiny, one of OH's hands nearly covered him in that position. But I do love them getting older and their personalities coming out, being a mum has made me soooo soppy compared to before :D

Off to try sensory bumps to babes at 1.30pm - it'll be my first completely solo outing (as in not meeting a friend when I get there) and the first time I've been to any Mummy and baby groups. Feeling excited but nervous and hoping Bean enjoys it. I'm at the pump again expressing so that he has a bottle for his next feed which will probably be when we're out. It's a long session (til 3) so don't know if we'll stay for the entire thing.

Taking furbaby to the vet again at 5.20pm to see the results of his urine sample as the vet wanted to see that his kidneys are functioning normally. Fingers crossed all is well there.

Have fun at baby group sexymouse, let us know how it goes. Hope the results at the vets are good too.

Thanks turtle, hopefully this is the beginning of the end of his bad sleeping. Trying to not get too excited though!

Aw bless him growing up! I sometimes look at his newborn pics and wonder how that little skinny thing suddenly got to be so chunky! I much prefer it now though - the first 3 months I found incredibly hard, now he's got his own little personality it's much easier. Can't beat it when he looks at you and grins and gets so happy to see you he literally can't stay still and waves his ams and legs around :o

In other news, my fil just called to say my sil that we were with yesterday has shingles (a rash popped up on her arm while we there). So there's a chance G might get chickenpox, but does anyone know if we will be carrying it, none of us have any signs of it yet? As in, I normally go to baby group on Tuesdays but obviously don't want to risk infecting all the littles. But at the same time I really enjoy going and was looking forward to it! I guess I shouldn't go, apparently it has an incubation period of 2 weeks too, so I'll have to miss two weeks :(

    Quiet on here today.

Katie I have no idea, maybe ring NHS direct or your health visitor to double check?

In the post today was a Charlie and Lola book, I won an Annabel Karmel competition and that was the prize, I didn't know I had won so it was a lovely surprise :j

Right me and Reu are off to the kitchen for a bit of batch cooking, then off to MIL for an hour or so (groan...even OH doesn't spend that much time with her, she's not my mother, why do I have to?! Lol)

Sexy mouse how was group? Im not very keen on my group, it's a bit of a chore to go, but I can see Reuben likes being around other babies so I do go, but reluctantly!!

    Hey Ladies,

Been missing for a few days, still not sleeping so great here and I'm soooo tired!

Aww Sunshine I know JUST how you feel and was comforted to read Mozzyc's advice! I'm back 3 weeks today  and I'm dreading it. I know Poppy will be fine with my Mum but I'll miss her so much. I finish work at 4.30pm and my Mum is on the way home from work so will at least have a few hours with her at night and my 3 day weekend, plus the school holidays - I'm really trying to see the positives! I'm also really looking forward to Poppy's 1st Birthday, we are having a small family party and I've started to go mad with banners, balloons etc! I've also ordered her a butterfly cake from our local bakery! Plus I really can't wait for Christmas time, so lots to look forward to!

I hope your appointment goes well with your little moggy sexymouse, I hate it when any of my dogs are poorly.
    xx

Baby sensory was a big success - will definitely make it a weekly event. Met some lovely mummys and Jonathan seemed to have a nice time too once he'd been fed as he was hungry when we got there (good job I packed a bottle). I'm going to go to the breastfeeding support group on Wednesday as one of the other mummys today said she goes and it's really good. My friend is training to be a peer supporter at the moment and goes so I shall feel weird getting my boobs out in front of her though (strangely I'm ok with getting them out for complete strangers but would feel very odd doing it in front of people I know).

Katie fingers crossed that little one doesn't get chicken pox. At least they've let you know so that you can look out for symptoms though.

Vet left a message whilst I was out to say she wanted to discuss Ebony's blood test results, but will call back tomorrow - she's obviously not realised we've got our appointment in an hour. That reminds me, I must put the insurance claim forms in the changing bag once I've finished pumping this batch.
