Reuben has a new trick....putting one leg through the bars of the cot, then rolling over, then waking himself up crying because he's got stuck with his leg all twisted.

If Elliot goes in his cot without a sleeping bag, he does the same thing... When he's bagged it's much better :)

He can now pull himself to a standing position in the cot (still in the sleeping bag). So far he hasn't found the extra light switch we had put in by our bed, so we can be lazy and not get up, but it's definitely within his reach. I'm sure at some point soon we'll be woken in the night with 'flick..on...flick... off'. I think that's the point at which he's going in his own room :rotfl:

He is sleeping really badly still, boo. Up 5-6 times in the night if not more. It turns into a bit of a blur after a while. Hubby woke me last night as I was sure Elliot was in bed with me and feeding... but no, he was still in his cot wailing, I'd managed to dream that I'd been over and picked him up etc.

His cold is slowly getting better but he's still snotty and coughing, plus teeth coming through, I think that's why he's sleeping so badly. He's not eating solids very well either at the moment but he quite likes gnawing on a lump of cucumber. Not very nutritious! He is though still getting through stacks of milk, and putting on weight, so he's definitely getting what he needs.

Do you know how long it takes for the child benefit form to be processed? We sent one off almost two weeks ago and haven't heard anything from them. Do they send an acknowledgement or simply pay money into the account without other communication?

katiechoc - obviously I'm on no position to advise people on weaning, but I saw that the Aptamil website gives advice on early weaning at 4 months so you may want to have a look there. Can't post a link just now as they're currently undergoing site maintenance.

Does anyone use Little Angels nappies? I bought them and going to try as soon as current pack of Pampers is finished. We're not happy with Pampers new baby size 3. We had no problems with size 1 and 2 but size 3 is leaking. Or maybe it's that B is a weird size - he's only 59cm long but over 13lb so he's quite wide :)

Was going to go to the post office to pick up a parcel but it's raining, of course. It always rains when I want to go out. Love Scotland :(

    :rotfl: bless him!!

I still can't believe he has a tooth!! I had to double check after about ten mins to make sure it wasn't a piece of cauliflower from his lunch but nope it's definitely a tooth! :)

Cant remember how long it took but we had the birth cert back with a compliments slip then not long after a letter confirming we would get the £20 per week and how it would be backdated.

Have you had the birth cert back? It def wasnt long after that.x
