I like our mobile, I've no idea whether F does or if it soothes him but it didn't cost much and looks nice hanging over the cot. It also amuses me when he kicks the bunnies
.
I'd say get one, silly moo, just don't go mad and spend a fortune."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Id agree with that, Im not sure if Aiden loves it, when he could reach it he would try and destroy it. Ours is just a M&P one that came from the outlet so it only cost £11.
And it does make the cot look cutex

Morning, hope Aiden is a bit better this morning sunshine?
We were up 5 times last night, every 2 hours. At baby group yesterday there was a mum who's baby is almost the same age as George and she's having exactly the same problem - no sleep and constantly hungry. Makes me feels bit better that its not just us! Going to persevere with the feeding and hope that once he gets the hang of it we'll get some more sleep.
I'm waiting in today, got a job lot if nappies coming from kiddicare, enough for about 4 months - I sent oh that link about the nappy shortage and he immediately told me to order enough to keep us going for a bit :rotfl:Newborn thread member

It's me too. F used to go three to four hours between feeds at night. He'd generally have two to three night feeds. At the moment it's more like four or five, i.e. every couple of hours. Luckily I've managed to crack lying down feeding so now I just pull him into bed and we both snuggle whilst he snacks"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

We still use a mobile.
Noah has a projector thingy too but I have had to take it off his cot and out it in his drawers at the end if his cot as he started to Kung fu kick the bl@@dy thing at night!! He woke me up at 2am one night kicking the hell out of it so that was it, it got taken away!!he can still see the pictures on the ceiling from where I've put it now so I'm not that cruel!!
Sunshine - maybe speak to your health visitor next time you get Aiden weighed? Does seem strange it's always after fish.
Katiechoc - hope George settled in the end.

Nope, fraid not. But I'm feeling better about the whole thing now my friend is having the same issue, was getting a bit paranoid it was something I was doing wrong. Just got to power through these first couple of weeks of spoon feeding until he gets the hang of it. Hv Said yesterday when he gets it his sleep will improve dramatically. Knowing my luck he'll start teething at the same time as starting to eat properly!
Welcome to the no sleep club fluff!
Right, baby asleep, washing up done, time to whizz round the bathroom.Newborn thread member

Freddie does not nap in the day. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing
. Luckily he's very happy when he's awake and he'll lie in his baby gym or sit in his bouncer. Occasionally he'll nod off but only for half an hour or so. If we go out in the car, he falls asleep but more out of boredom than anything else

I take Noah every 3/4 weeks.
I've just put Noah down for a nap too, I am washing our bedding today but can't be bothered to remake the beds now! Ds1 and ds2 have bunk beds and its really awkward to put a sheet on the top bunk unless I climb up there but I'm scared of heights and to me it's really high up there!!!
