    Hi all,

Would someone mind adding me to the list please? Little lady, Scarlett, was born on 12/09/2012.

Have had a bit of a rough time of it, labour was horrendous and ended up with forceps. Scarlett had a few problems so was in special care for 6 days and I have had multiple infections (UTI's and problems with stitches) so am on so many antibiotics that I will probably start to rattle soon!

Hubby is having to do most of the care as I am still pretty immobile because of the pain. Am dreading him going back to work on Wednesday.

Am hoping things will pick up soon!
    Welcome :)

Lovely name too. Sounds an awful time, poor you. Sounds like your hubby is being great.

Ill try and update the list on laptop later. Hope you stick around and chat to us, we are a friendly lot :) x

Hope I found the latest version of the weight loss list - apologies if I didn't and anyone's been bumped off...

Welcome bellola! Congratulations on your little one, good birthday too, same as my oh ;). Sorry to hear of your difficult labour, hope you start to feel better soon. I can never get the list right but I'm sure someone will be along soon that can sort it.

G is distinctly under the weather now, coughing, bunged up, sicking, generally just not his usual self. Although he did perk up a bit - OH spent about half an hour crawling around making silly noises which got a few giggles. Giving him his bedtime feed now but we'll have to wait and see how the night goes.

Which projector did you get sunshine? I had a look in the Argos book the other day as our mobile broke and I wasn't sure whether to get another the same or something new, but as it turned out they just gave me a replacement straight off. Liked the look of this one but its not at all mse! http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9237953/c_1/1|category_root|Nursery|14417537/c_2/2|14417537|Baby+toys|14417556/c_3/3|cat_14417556|Cot+toys+and+mobiles|14417565.htm

Poor George :( Aidens the same really, he has had nurofen tonight to see if that makes any difference.

We got the blossom farm one, buuttt as usual put him in the cot and he goes into destroy mode so just kicked and poked it - the music may have been a little too lively, I would rather it just showed the images as sound perks him up.

I want to change it tomorow for a really basic looking one but with good revoews, OH says there is no point and they wont take it back cos I opened it?!?

So I am in a bit of a mood with him as I am trying everything to settle him down and he thinks we should just let him drop off as normal on his milk and put him in asleep. Ahhh men.

    Xx

  • Thanks all, little man went off to sleep ok and hasn't been up wailing like he normally does so think he's worn out with it. His breathing sounds much better now, trying to not get my hopes up that it might have just been a flash and he'll be over it by morning.

Hi Nutella! Sounds like your LO is getting spoilt rotten?!

Hope Aiden got settled ok sunshine? You should be able to return the projector I think? As long as he wasn't too rough with it!

I'm off to bed, night all.

  • Hope you can take it back sunshine. Just woke up leaking everywhere, hubs had been sweet and taken little man from around 10 so I could sleep but I was still awake at half 11 and don't know when I dropped off. Luckily G woke me with stirring ski could relieve the pressure but have a soaking wet tshirt :/

Did anyone find projections worked with Littlies? Gs generally quite good to settle just the grunts and windy noises but we were asked what would be a good present so I've asked for a projector. I saw some in Argos that go on floor which would be best as could move from our bedroom to nursery when ready but its a man buying so I'm wondering if it will be a cot one?

Welcome bellola, good to see you over here and hugs for quick recovery. Are you on pain relief at mo? Xx

Yes student, antibiotics & pain relief. have woken very sore again, cant wait to feel normal! Hubbys now feeding lo whilst i am expressing. she wont take to the breast so im having to express hundreds of times a day & top up with formula. luckily she seems to be going 4 hours between feeds at night so we can get a bit of sleep although last feed she just wouldnt settle!

Hope all those whose lo are poorly get well soon.
  • *yawn* morning all. Up for a feed, but first one since putting him down at 10 so cant complain really.

I've got in to the habit of this feed (or any feed after midnight!) To being done laying down....it means i often fall asleep though, as its so comfortable. Still feel torn between loving bedsharing (both the lovely cuddle and the longer sleep!) And not wanting him to get used to my bed and refuse to sleep on his own. :o

I need some matchsticks to prop my eyes open...after.only 2 weeks of my snoozy feeding, its killing me to try to stay awake sat here upright. Funny how your body gets used to things so quickly.

katie and sunshine hope your poorly babies get better soon!
