  • Morning ladies, hope everyone's ok? Hope Aiden is ok sunshine, and you get chance for some sleep soon! We had a bad night too, up 5 times:(

We're back from the docs now, he's not a happy bunny now, he really shrieked :(. Hopefully won't get any side effects like last time.

I wish we could all go to the same baby group, how good would that be?! I've got a bit lazy with them as I've made a mum friend so we tend to go to them together but then it's very easy to only end up talking to each other. She's on holiday at the moment though so I'm going to try a new one on my own tomorrow. Hate walking in when everyone else is sat in groups already though, so I feel your pain turtle. Have you looked on netmums for your local notice board? You can put an advert up saying you're looking for like minded mums in your area to meet up with - that's how I met my mum friend.

  • Sunshine, Katie hope your boys feel better soon.

Tipping it down hear too, and while I can't see the effect, I can hear drip drip drip in my bedroom, meaning the roof leak HASN'T been fixed. It's really stressing me out, it's so bad that our clothes feel moist when you get them out of drawers - the room stinks. But landlord and agent will do nothing about it. Roll on 26th November when this tenancy ends!!! The only thing is this house is MASSIVE and we will have to sacrifice size for quality. I've de-junked a lot of my stuff (im a self confessed hoarder)....however OH's boxes of junk aren't junk, they are stuff he needs you see....so we need space to store them, apparently. *sigh*

What's everyone up to today? I'm thinking duvet day with my favourite guy and some rubbish telly :j
  • Oh Katie meant to say, I looked on netmums but wasn't keen on the very minimal adverts I saw. Either older women whose kids are nearly grown up, or kids with kids. At 27 I don't think I have much in common with either of those two extremes! :o Also netmums lumps my city with another town...but it's half an hour plus drive away....not exactly my "local" group!!!

  • Oh no turtle, hope the leak holds together until you can move! Have you started looking for somewhere new yet? I love snooping on rightmove, even though we have no plans to move for a year to two yet. Crikey I'm sad aren't I?:rotfl:

Shame netmums is no good for you ladies, I must have got lucky with it!

George is asleep now, I've managed to get a curry started so when it gets to tea time (which is inevitably George's grumpy time) all I have to do is stick some rice on and reheat a bit.

I'm staying in from now on too, got Netflix fired up so going to watch some more of the us office and catch up on the Breaking Bad episodes that OH watched last night after I fell asleep.

Nope!! I love a rightmove snoop too...infact I am even signed up to the email alerts for a price range well out of our reach but oh well!!!

Aiden has still not napped....so that is about 5 hours sleep he had last night and nothing since...he is showing no signs of slowing down either.

We need to go out but I know he will fall asleep in the car and I want him to sleep here so I can have some lunch and a hot cup of tea!xxx

  • Sammie, coat sounds nice!

Well he is finally asleep :j although I doubt it will be for long. Anyone have a cot projector thing? Elc have one on offer and I may go and get one. Thinking it may make him lie still and watch the patterns and then drop off, with his mobile he just tends to tug and the teddies and basically try and destroy it which does not fit in with the calm sleepy environment we try to create!

    Right...need some food. x

    Edit. He is stirring. Fab.

  • Oh sunshine I hope you get a break soon.

I'm a rightmove snooper too! I have loads of properties saved...trouble with renting is they may not be available when we need to move etc. and I'm worried about being accepted without a guarantor when OH has a terrible credit rating, and while mine is good, I'm on SMP with a mortgage (I rent it out, but it still looks like 54k of debt against my name!)....so we may struggle to find an agent that will accept us without a guarantor etc. :o

My mum and stepdad own an estate agent, granted its not in Wolverhampton, but she does not credit check. They go on references and proof of earnings so you may find others do too. Hope you find somewhere, awful you have to live with damp.

Well, he dropped back off and we are now at almost an hour in the cot. That os good for my boy! He needs about 6 hours just to catch up but I will take a small victory :) had some tea and toast so feel alot better. OH rang and said I should try and have a nap but I am wide awake now!

He says we can buy a projector thing so will get one when we pop out. Ill let you all know if it works!x
