Projector didn't work here, cost me £20 too. We have the rainforest fisher price mobile, and it works like a charm
I'd say peace and quiet are the best things though. For naps I don't tend to turn the mobile on, I sit him in his cot with a few toys and he plays for a while then just lays down and drifts off x

Glad you've got him down for a while Sunshine, hope you find a good projector! We've got the Rainforest mobile same as Gilly which he likes - i tend to only put it on if he's struggling to get off. And its out of reach so no temptation to attack it! He does flail around and hit the music button sometimes though!
He's definitely sleepier than normal - he was up for less than two hours and is already asleep again. So I've got the pc on, Downton on the itv catch up thing and just going to work on some invites for a friend's party they want drawing up. Graphic design is not my strong point but I'll have a crack at itNewborn thread member

A climbs up and presses the buttons now lol, but I don't find the music annoying really. We've taken the top off now he's standing up, so it's just a music box/light now xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Sunshine - Noah has a cot projector and enjoys watching the pattern on the ceiling still. He also has a cot mobile so it like a party when he goes to bed!! He drops off in within 10 mins though so it obviously doesn't annoy him!!

Hi all,
Would someone mind adding me to the list please? Little lady, Scarlett, was born on 12/09/2012.
Have had a bit of a rough time of it, labour was horrendous and ended up with forceps. Scarlett had a few problems so was in special care for 6 days and I have had multiple infections (UTI's and problems with stitches) so am on so many antibiotics that I will probably start to rattle soon!
Hubby is having to do most of the care as I am still pretty immobile because of the pain. Am dreading him going back to work on Wednesday.
Am hoping things will pick up soon!0 -
Welcome bellola!
Another week of no change weight wise here. I haven't been trying at all, very poor show, really need to pull my finger out and actually do something about it. I suppose at least it's not increasing!!0 -
Welcome bellola! Congratulations on your little one, good birthday too, same as my oh
. Sorry to hear of your difficult labour, hope you start to feel better soon. I can never get the list right but I'm sure someone will be along soon that can sort it.
G is distinctly under the weather now, coughing, bunged up, sicking, generally just not his usual self. Although he did perk up a bit - OH spent about half an hour crawling around making silly noises which got a few giggles. Giving him his bedtime feed now but we'll have to wait and see how the night goes.
Which projector did you get sunshine? I had a look in the Argos book the other day as our mobile broke and I wasn't sure whether to get another the same or something new, but as it turned out they just gave me a replacement straight off. Liked the look of this one but its not at all mse! http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9237953/c_1/1|category_root|Nursery|14417537/c_2/2|14417537|Baby+toys|14417556/c_3/3|cat_14417556|Cot+toys+and+mobiles|14417565.htmNewborn thread member

Welcome and congratulations, Silly Moo and Bellola! Bellola, sorry to hear you've had such a rough time, hope things pick up soon and you're able to get more involved with the baby care.
Sorry I've been a bit awol for a few days, am at my parents', so been out and about quite a bit. LO's loving all the attention she's getting! I promise I've read back, but I can't remember a thing, so will just say that I hope everyone's having a nice evening and that the babies feeling unwell get better soon0
