  • Hello all

Aiden has been in bed since 7, think he is worn out today. Mum bought him a calpol vapour plug in, have to say it smells lovely! Its lavender and the usual karvol smell but his room smells really calm and sleepy!! He was very tearful before bed, poor thing.

Sounds like all our mse babies are feeling it at the mo :(

Happy bday gilly, sounds like you had fun!!

Hope Poppy is ok with the jabs jannine :)

Took the projector back, they were fine  seen a seahorse glow thing in argos that I want to get him.

Has anyone lowered thier cot down? Ours will be lowered at the wkend :( makes me quite sad!

Sunshine, is it the Fisher Price soothe and glow seahorse? If so, we have one - it's very cute and the music is lovely and calming, but beware that it only plays 5 minutes of music and then you have to press its tummy again - my LO never falls asleep that quickly, so it doesn't do much for her. We much prefer this one: www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9058912.htm It plays for 30 mins and displays stars in the ceiling - the music is nice and calming too, and there are more music options than on the seahorse. OH bought a second one so he can use one too when he's sleeping in the other bedroom! Obv go for whatever you prefer the look/sound of, but just thought I'd share what's worked for us...

Glad they took the projector back :)

We need to lower our cot too - LO can now reach the animals hanging from her mobile, so we'd better lower it before something breaks... :(

Ooh thanks nutella. Yes it was the FP one, it has really good reviews but I much prefer to hear feedback off people directly. I did look at the frog, what sort of sounds does it play? I did buy a projector yday but returned it as the music was too jolly! x

My cot has been on the lowest setting since we got it  He is attempting to climb up the bars now, but so far it is defeating him, thank God. He can walk the length of the living room and right out the door now holding on to his walker thing. He's too wild. x

Sunshine, the frog plays lullabies and nature sounds - I like them as they're calm and soothing, and the lowest volume setting is actually low enough; I agree that some of these things are way too jolly (and loud!), which is all well and good if you just want to occupy your LO so you can have a shower - not so good if you want them to sleep! I think the packaging lets you press the buttons so you can test it without taking it out of the box, and Argos lets you get two items to compare and then you can buy the one you want, so you could always ask to look at the frog and the seahorse and try them both before you leave the shop?..

Thanks :) Yes, think I will do that on Thursday when we are in town.

Might have an early night as Aiden is asleep x

I think our cot is on the middle setting, we never had it on the highest as I was scared he would fall out (he can't even sit on his own yet) I think I worry too much!!

Noah is rolling everywhere now he made it out of the living room door when I was cooking dinner, I will have to invest in some more stair gates very soon I think!

Sunshine - is the plug in good?

Poor Noah :( Sounds like we have a few unhappy babies at the moment... My LO was a bit miserable for a couple of nights too, very clingy and tearful, but she slept very well last night, so fingers crossed she's OK now.

Maybe our babies are fed up with the weather too!! Fingers crossed you have another good night tonight.

  • Its good Sammie :) its not too strong as it has the lavendar in which smells really soothing. Although I suppose the true test will be if it helps him sleep any better. It was £6 something though, but you do get 5 refils so it isn't too bad!

Apparently Argos have 3 for 2 on all toys starting tomorow. xx
