I think we all have things we think we're failing at, it seems to be part of being a mum! That's probably what drives some parents to the endless competitiveness?

My thing at the moment is this damn weaning business! Why do all the other babies eat everything in sight and we're stuck at the couple of spoonfuls of puree stage, what am I doing wrong?! :D But they're just all different. His big bro ate everything he was offered, from the very start, but then he was growing at a ridiculous rate and is now massively taller than me. It'll work out in the end.

Teething has helped us with weaning, chompy chops eats everything she can see :o

She was trying to eat the cable of the heart rate monitor at the doctors :o

Twins however are 8 now and one of them will only eat bland stuff (think fish fingers and chips) and tells her twin she has to eat the same!

This one will chew a remote, but put a little bit of bread to his mouth to taste, and anyone would think you were trying to poison him! It's like there's hard stuff to chew on, runny stuff that's food, and he doesn't recognise anything else. :D

I like that :rotfl: have you tried meatballs and spaghetti with bolognese sauce? Just plonk some on the highchair tray and let him make a mess.

Might be a good idea to undress him first though :o

Carrott and apple chunks are hard and food and help with teething if they're cold from the fridge.

    Hi Ladies,

Unpacked now and put some washing on, sitting down having a brew and putting my feet up. Poppy is still fast asleep, dogs are all in their beds sleeping, its lovely and peaceful!

My OH has nipped into town and just txt me to say he's got me a present. Think its a handbag, I saw a gorgeous chocolate leather Fiorelli handbag in Debenhams on holiday and was umming and ahhing about getting it, I decided not to get it even though I really wanted it! He'll be in for a treat if he has bought it for me!! :rotfl:

Had a good read back and if your reading Jenjade I love the pics of Ellie, she looks fab!!

Well it looks like a real possibility that I'll be a single parent in the near future.

I don't know what to do. Our tenancy agreement is up end of nov, I can't afford ANYWHERE to live on my own. I don't get benefits because I own a house, but tenants live in it - with mortgage repairs and tax that breaks even. I am on SMP but my debt repayments alone are £750 a month so they don't even cover that. I don't know where we are going to go or what to do.

I'm so angry at him for doing this to me, I gave him the opportunity for an easy get out early in the pregnancy, bu no he insisted I and bump were what he wanted, blah blah blah, now I feel like i was just tricked in to having a baby. I have no idea how me and Reuben are going to manage, if I dintt have my house we would be ok but having the buy to let property absolutely scuppers me. I guess the only option is back to work and put Reu in full time nursery....he's not even 3 months old yet :(
