Turtlemoose - hi! Glad you are enjoying spending time with your family but :( for you and OH arguing. Hope you have managed to sort things out and can enjoy the rest of your holiday. Xx

I think I went to bed at about 8.30 last night as I still had a headache, I slept really well but I've been wide awake since 5.00am!! :o

Hope the headache has gone now sammie?

I'm shattered (again) he was only technically up twice at 11 and 4 but took ages to get back off to sleep each time, just lay there gurgling to himself for over an hour. And I was woken up at one point by his mobile playing Beethoven - he must have caught the button when he was flailing around. Hope it's just a phase!

I think he's getting frustrated with not being able to roll over, he can get on his side and keeps pushing his bum up and over but he can't get his arms organised, then just lays there shouting at nothing!

    Morning all !
    Just a quiki

Jedi - glad things are improving Hun x

Jumperoo - we bought ours at 4 months but I think he was using it proper at 5 months he had a pillow under his feet, he is still happily using it now still on the first setting and is 7 1/2 months I have no intention on packing it up lol but remember we have a dog during week so Scott does not have free reign on the floor.

Playpen - mothercare one does look very similar to babydan ...
We don't have a big house either so we play musical furniture often, we have the playpen shaped like a rectangle in the dining room.

Books - we have read to Scott for quite a while and he loves the gruffalo sound book http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/023074866X
Don't know if it's cheaper elsewhere but he has it read tO him at least twice a day !!!
He has lots of traditional books but loves the sound ones and if anyone knows of any good story sound ones please post them thanks !

    Evening all!

Triangle, I'm desperate to get a jumperoo for Teddy! Been bidding on a couple on Ebay but have been out bid at the last minute both times, annoying! I'm rubbish at Ebay anyway! And it has to be local to be collected because of the size of it so not too many on there in my neck of the woods, loads up north I noticed though!

Glad to see everyone and their babies are doing well!

fluffnutter, how are you and Freddie getting on? He's gorgeous, love his hair! Teddy has old mans hair, loads of dark hair round the back and sides, nothing on top!

How is everyone getting on with their weightloss/exercise routine?
Teddy is nearly 10 weeks old now and have decided to start classes again when he's 3 months.......nothing major just Zumba probably to start! Just want my body to be a bit 'normal' before I start up again.
And I need to stop eating biscuits! Even hubby who is an exercise freak and has always had a six pack in the 13 years we've been together is getting a bit softer round the middle! We do love a cuppa and a bourbon though.......:) xx

We're doing good. Can't complain although he does tend to enjoy pooing all over me in the middle of the night. He's not called The Turdinator for nowt.

Tea is just what new parents do. It's obligatory. I've never drunk so many brews as in the first few weeks after Freddie was born. Back on the chablis now, obv *

    * Only joking! Chablis and tit-feeding are not hugely compatible.

    Morning all :)

Katie I read and re-read that, and kept thinking mobile? Why the hell would a baby have a mobile phone. Then it clicked.... a cot mobile. Is it the rainforest Fisher Price one you have? I love it :) the music is so lovely, when A was still in his crib he started to roll over in the middle of the night and his bum would hit off the buttons. Luckily I used to keep the remote next to the bed and just press the button quickly to turn it off again. Now he's in the cot it's too far up for him to get accidently but he can get to it if wants to.

We were up last night, he woke up around 2.15 and wouldn't go back to sleep, he wasn't upset really just moving around the cot, but he started to cry the back of 3, and I eventually fed him around 4. I don't like feeding him in the middle of the night now, as I know he doesn't need it, but he must have been hungry last night as he took 7oz and went straight back to sleep. Thankfully he didn't get up until 9.30 so even though I lost the hours at night, I got them this morning :)

Fluff Being pooed on is never nice. I like to think it's their way of showing affection!

He only goes every 2-4 days here, so when he does go it's horrific. Also at least yours will be nice newborn poo, and doesn't have food in! :rotfl:

You can have one Chablis ;) But what's the point in that? :p

Been doing slimming world since Monday and I'm really enjoying it, not been feeling hungry or anything so happy with that, will see how it is when I step on the scales on Monday. :j

Well best go hang my washing up while monster is napping. Have a good day all xxx

Hahaha yes it was definitely his cot mobile Gilly! And yup it's the rainforest one, I normally don't mind the music but at stupid o clock in the morning I wasn't really in the mood!

Well done on slimming world! Are you still doing the shred thing too? I'm awful for exercise, all I'm doing at the moment is walking with the buggy. Better than nothing but that's not going to sort out the baby belly. I'm back to my pre preg weight now though, guess its mostly down to BFing as I'm such a lazy mare!

LOL. My dad thought exactly the same. My mum was telling him that I wanted to buy a mobile for Freddie. His genuine response? "What does he need a mobile for? He can't even talk yet!".

How did you manage that? I kept making them, but they always went cold before I had a chance to drink them!... :o

No, the shred wasn't making me lose weight, at all. I was loosing inches I think, but I need to lose weight! I lost all my pregnancy weight after the birth but then it slowly started to go back on again  so I needed to do something :o

Ha I need to lose inches not weight, opposite of you! I'm not even considering the shred though, I'll only get annoyed with myself when I don't finish it!

I have a Naptime question for you ladies - when you put LO down for a nap (presuming they're awake when you put the down) how long does it take for them to settle themselves to sleep? It's only very recently George has started putting himself to sleep, I always used to feed him to sleep and sneak him into the cot. But even if he's really dozy when I put him down he always seems wide awake as soon as his head touches the mattress, he's in there now with his comforter and mobile on and seems quite happy but it's been about 30minutes and he's not asleep yet. On one hand, it's huge progress that he's awake in the cot without screaming but then I think maybe he doesnt need a nap (although he's yawning and rubbing his eyes) and I should get him up and do something with him. I wonder if you ever stop questioning your own actions and decisions when it comes to parenting?!

That turned out a bit epic, sorry for the ramble!

Edited to add: I take it all back, just stuck my head in and he's snoozing away like nobody's business!
