It really depends here, as I find his nap times a bit all over the place, at night though after his bath etc, he's flat out, as I think he knows it's sleepy time. With his naps I try and wait until he looks sleepy and tired, Sometimes I'll misjudge and he's scream when I put him in his cot, and then I'd take him back out, but if he's awake but happy I tend to just leave him, can take up to 30/40 minutes some daysThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Thanks Gilly, that makes me feel better
That was the worlds most rubbish nap, he's up again already. I swear he heard me put the computer on to do some work.Newborn thread member

Well ladies I've decided to bow out of here and the forums in general - I've had enough.
Some people seriously need to think before they open their gob and get out of smuggy mummy land.
Me and small-sort will be going it alone from now on in I guess.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Dizzi, please don't go! If it's the breast feeding thing, just ignore it. People get so high and mighty about it all. It's not easy, it's not just a natural thing and it's bloody hard work. Formula isn't evil! My boy was born at 38 +3 and still couldn't latch, I had everybody and there granny around my boobs, he was checked for tongue tie, had midwives, health visitors, breast feeding consultant people, no one could get him to latch. I too expressed for a few weeks but I just couldn't continue, there is nothing wrong with that at all.
Please stay over here with us! We need to keep up with Erin and new baby.xxx
Edit: I don't mean that bottle feeding isn't difficult either btw, everything to do with babies is hard flipping work. We went through like 4 types of bottles, before I could find one that he'd drink from
I really don't want to upset you so I'll shut up now, I'm sorry if anything I have said is offensiveThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

Oh hun no!! Tried to have a quick read about what's going on. We created this group for help, support and to chat with other mothers in a similar situation. Don't leave us!! No one is judged here. Each mother raises their baby how they know best and they know best when it comes to their baby, simple as.
Breastfeed, don't breastfeed, no one here minds. And lets face it, that's just one hurdle in many many many that we all learn and offer support to each other on.
Stay and chat hun!! Please xxDFD February 2012

Hi lovely ladies!!
Back from my holiday this afternoon - had a great time and feel refreshed and relaxed! Probably won't last long!! Think Poppy had a growth spurt on holiday cos all she did was feed, feel like she's been attached to me 24/7!! Don't mind though, she is in desperate need of a spurt!
Not read back yet, just read this page, not sure what's been happening with Dizzi, has somebody said something rude? Will have a read back now and catch up.
Hope all ok.

They were discussing breastfeeding on the pregnancy thread and Dizzi has taken some of the comments personally. I think what they were trying to say is we nearly all have the basics to breastfeed... breasts and baby, but that doesn't mean it'll actually be possible in reality for one reason or another. I certainly didn't see anyone being smug about it?0

Oh, and can I add, if I'm honest, the idea of bottlefeeding scares me, as I don't know how! I wouldn't know where to start with mixing it, warming it etc. I certainly don't think it's easy.
Dizzi, if you're still reading, I think maybe you're unlucky with the area you live in. I've never seen any judgemental breastfeeding mums round here, in fact bottle feeding is very much the norm I would say?0 -
