Mwah Mozzy !!
Sunshine - I seriously am not kidding when I say that I would pay more than £100 if I had to for the jumperoo  just wish you could try before you buy so that you could see what I mean !!! Scott is in it everyday !! Aside from the fun aspect it has strengthened Scott's legs and keeps him entertained and out of mischief. He also occasionally falls asleep in it
The other thing that is coming Into its own now is the playpen !!!! A Great second hand buy!!!! Scott does not stay in one place so it keeps him safe with his toys0 -
Re Charlie preferring sweet things with a Scott I have to bring his water through first, then his main, then his dessert otherwise he gets distracted wants the next thing lol !!0

Thnx Ro, how much longer do you think Scott will be in it?
OH is against it as we have enough toys ....x

our house is bursting too - two toyboxes, playmat, entertainer, nest ring, bumbo, highchair etc etc! Need a massive sort out when xmas comes!! Xxx
Hah we sent half the baby stuff that wasn't being used anymore (or we didn't get on with... cough... swingy chair... cough) back up to the in-laws to go in their loft (our roof isn't good enough to risk storing things up there at the moment until we get it replaced).Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
I think we're going to build our jumperoo this weekend, can't wait! I hope he likes it. George is only just starting to really pay attention to his toys so at the moment we don't have too many, the ones he likes best are the dangly bits off his baby Einstein play gym so I just un hook those. That and his Lamaze inchworm, that's still a firm favourite. Need to get some sort of toy box as we start accumulating more stuff!
I had a lie in until 7.30 this morning! Normally he's up at just gone 6 so feeling quite refreshed. Bit guilty though as when he's up early it means oh gets to see him and have a quick play before leaving for work.Newborn thread member

We just bought a toy box the other day (long term we'll use the crate coffee tables in the lounge as places to chuck stuff at the end of the day - but they're still being used for stockpiles of wipes and nappies at the moment) - plastic chest one from Tesco (needed one with a lid as one of our dogs is a thief) for a tenner... if we didn't have the thieving canine we'd have just got one of those big plastic tub ones for a couple of quid.
Really irked - am utterly knackered at the moment and planned on having a lie in after her 6.30am feed while hubby sorted washing bottles, dogs and the like... but I've got one of those infernal "we'll show up sometime between 7am and 7pm" courier slots I'm stuck waiting on - it's only for a chuffing bottle brush as well after the dog ate the last one!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

I had to express and bottle feed on and off for a week or two when I was too sore on one side to BF. I found it a right pain. The feed (from the bottle) was fine (and quick) but I'd then have the rigmarole of expressing - not great when you just want to go back to sleep!
Because I was determined to go back to BFing as soon as everything had healed, I was expressing at the same time as the feeds to keep my milk supply in line with Freddie's demands. Now that I'm back firing on both cylinders it's sooo much easier"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Oh and while baby group yesterday was generally a bit pants (one child running amok and half of it being taken over by a "how to communicate with your child" thing that was a bit grandmother egg sucky) - there was a mum there who'd made her own mei-tai carrier so I wasn't the usual only pushchairless person! Was actually very funny the reactions to her putting baby onto her back to carry him home - mum of amok-child was just open mouthed with horror, whereas I'm fairly used to the spectacle of babies being santa tossed over shoulders into back carries (too scared to try with mine yet - going to give it another month or so and start abusing teddy bears to practice with).Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

By the time you factor in washing out the pump, putting the pump in the steriliser, washing out the bottle and putting that back in the steriliser and the time spent actually pumping - no way. Then factor in the time to DO the actual feed and it's time to pump again - pumping is ridiculously time consuming and mind blowingly tedious - indeed it's going in my birth plan this time around - if baby can't latch I do not wish to be put under pressure to express milk and WILL be switching to formula (unless it's another preemie in which case I'll probably do it until discharge only) because I am not ever ending up in that ridiculous existence I found myself in last time again where I basically missed her first month from being chained by the nipples to a suction cup.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
