Thanks ladies, he laughed so hard he gave himself hiccups in the end!
How did everyone sleep? George went from 7.30 (woke up briefly a couple of times as the rain was hammering so hard on the velux window by his cot) til 4am then til 6 then til 7.30. I didn't feed him at my bedtime last night like I have been doing and he woke up at the same time anyway so I think maybe he doesnt need that extra feed at 10 now.
Hope everyone has lovely daysNewborn thread member

Yes, If you freeze milk, you can add more fresh milk to the same pot in the freezer, just freeze it straight off, and make sure you label it up so you know when the oldest milk went in. Oh, and if you add the time, you can try and match usage time to pump time if you like, as evening milk has more "sleepy juice" in it, so if you want to use it in the evening before bed, you might be best using evening expressed milk.
From bitter experience here - if you use those milk storage bags... a) Tesco sell 'em for about 1/4 of the price of Mothercare (and you don't break like 5 trying to get them open) and b) do NOT defrost them without standing them up supported in something - I bawled my eyes out at a bumper 5 oz haul defrosting and leaking everywhere!
Boots doing 3 for 2 on baby stuff atm btw - I went and stocked up on weaning spoons and dishes and sippy cups and stuff... decided to put the sippy cup handles on her bottle yesterday so she could "help" feed herself and she seemed to enjoy that!
I don't have PND - everyone's been flipping obsessed with trying to diagnose me with it but the DOCTOR ruled it out (doesn't stop the busy body HV being obsessed about it still)... I do have an anxiety disorder which I guess is understandable after the social services stuff and everything. Was on anti-depressants to get that back under control but had to stop when got pregnant again and they won't prescribe an alternative unless I go to the perinatal mental health team - who are a) at the hospital I'm desperate to avoid and b) useless.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Dizzi there's a poster on the wall in my doctors waiting room, that says that if your GP refers you to a specialist then you have the right to choose ANY hospital that has the relevant staff....are you able to choose a different hospital? I know if I am lucky enough to have another baby I will not go back to where I was, I didn't have a situation like yours but I've still ended up having nightmares and flashbacks afterwards that leave me breathless and panicky, even now (although less now than before).0

Morning
Hope everyone had good sleeps. Not as restless here, woke at 5 for milk but wouldnt go back in cot till asleep again.
This may sound weird but I agreed to take my mum to the hospital in about an hour for an eye appt. I am really worried about how I will feel being back there? Dont get me wrong, I didnt have as bad a time as some of the ladies on here, bur it certainly wasnt the baby pops out and is placed on you for a cuddle experience that I wanted. I dont think its really affected me that much at all but when I see some births on the tv that are like what I would have wanted I do shed a little tear.
Its so silly as he is here and he is fine. But when I think of the hospital I feel a bit funny. I wish I hadnt agreed to take her and now its too late as we have to leave in 15. Oh well - Ill report back later xLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea
