Hello everyone, it's been busy while I've been out!!
Ro and Mozzy - the bib came from Boots. There are different colours and we have pink as well as the green but I'm sure there was also a blue one. They are ace as they catch what has been dropped (to some extent - see bumbo table in the picture!) and can be rinsed off straight away after meals to quickly get rid of mess.
Ro, I don't think you need to worry about his weight as he's not going to suddenly beef up the second he is getting some solids. To start with it is a lot of fruit and veg, and perhaps one thing from BLW would help even if you are doing puree - milk is their main source of nutrients so you don't need to be dropping lots of bottles immediately and frantically spooning stuff into him. Let him decide how much to take - they will slurp off a spoon quite happily, and he'll get used to the flavours and gradually want more of that and less milk.
Was so odd at lunch today - we went to my parents as usual for sunday, but the first time since we have started her on food, and she ate bits of veggies that we handed to her. Carrot was apparently not interesting but she nommed some cauliflower and mushroom plus a bit of roast potato!! I'm guessing very little went in, but was amazed she even touched the cauli.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Hello all
Mozzy- hubby uses first direct and they are fine, only thing I think about banking is its good to have both an account in an online bank like fd and also a branch based one in case of emergencies etc.
Crabapple - go veggie muncher ! Lol
Dizzi - good idea with the bottles as I'm sure that will suit some peeps well. An I-candy !! Name says it all !!
Toniq - Dylan did not listen he has said hello to his dinner.. again... Sorry if you were just having yours  i hope your going to continue posting between all that compingI meant to say I like that our babies are all similar age as it helps to know what we are experiencing is normal !!

Sorry, hadn't looked at the online I saw them in the shop. They aren't on there for some reason. The one toniq found may be more solid plastic rather than rubbery, but will do exactly the same!
LO is supposed to be going to sleep, but I keep hearing noises. DH is supervising while I watch the footie! Not only a good thing, but also his idea!! (I guess I could go and check on them at half time...)
I think there's a lot of December/January babies between us!:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Hi, Yes, i have a wedge for my little girl. There are different heights, depending on how badly they are suffering. If you go for a steep wedge, you will need a sling/harness of some type to hold them in place and not slide down. If your LO's are BF, then you may have only been offered ranitidine which neutralises the acid, but doesnt help with stopping the liquid come up, which means you may need the steeper one. Bottle fed babies tend to be offered thickeners, so there is less coming up, and a shallower wedge works.
I actually managed to get a wedge and sling on ebay from someone whose lo didnt need them. If you dont find anything there, then i would recommend this site : http://www.babyreflux.co.uk
The positioner we use with the wedge is a snooozz wrap, and the wedge we have is the ultralift wedge.
Hope that helps. Please ask if you need more help.
Thanks so much, that's a massive help. I will order from that website. They are bottle fed (expressed breast milk) and have carobel (thickener) added so will buy the normal shallow angled one.
Thank you!0 -
Ro and Dizziblonde, thanks so much for more helpful bottlefeeding advice. Ro, I have some of those litttle measuring pots that came with my Tommee Tippee steriliser - good to know they're actually useful!0
