    Hi Ladies,

Can I just ask have any of you noticed hair falling out since having your LO's?
I have very long black hair and when I'm in the shower and i'm putting my conditioner on loads seems to be falling out! My husband cleaned the shower trap out last night and there was the biggest hair ball I've ever seen!! My hairdresser commented last week on how thick my hair is and I've not got any bald patches, but I'm def losing more hair than ever before!!

All very normal. Dont worry :)

    Hi all

Been a while since i was last one. The Fb is easier to access on my phone!

If anyone wants to be added to the FB group (it is a secret group noone can see it, only members) then PM mirrorimage0, kandboys, Gillyx or me (if you PM i'm not 100% sure how add people yet tho!!)

DD is 15 weeks tomorrow:eek: She is a good little girl, only having problems with her not really sleeping in the day, she only sleeps for about 45mins each nap. And she isnt taking a bottle, so we going to try her with a sippy cup and hope she takes to it - i would like a break and want OH and DD to spend a couple of hours alone together

Iccey thats why i do with DD if i need to do things-such as shower then i'll put her in her bouncy chair and talk through what i'm doing.

Going to 'jo jingles' on wednesday. Have been taking DD swimming which she likes and have put her underwater! Bad mummy:rotfl:

Janninew, yes some of us lucky ones have hair loss :-) it does grow back thankfully.

Iccey, we too put jacob in his chair when we were in the kitchen or bathroom. Never for very long though most the time he was on a play mat or in his basket. Some babies sleep more than others while others are more alert. My little man likes his sleep (not always at night though!) but when hes awake hes into everything now - no wire is safe! I wouldnt worry at all :-)

I left jacob for seven hours today and he was fine :-) he even took some milk from a bottle! He refused to sleep much though so was a bit grumpy, i think my mum just has to learn to be firm with nap times. Back to work on thursday!

Icey, Flynn is 6 weeks now, and some days he will literally sleep all day, and others he is awake for up to 8 hours straight! I have him on my lap, singing to him (incy wincy is a fav as can make him do the hand movements lol!) in his bouncy chair, on his playmat, and even on a cushion/pillow on the settee next to me. He has just started over the last few days to seem interested in the bright colours on the tv! Also when the weather was warm we took the bouncy chair into the garden a few times :)

Re the bottle teats....i`m a lover of variflow now, saves having to worry about "upgrading" and buying loads of teats all the time! x

I shouldn't be here yet as baby not due till a week on friday but had a conversation with my hairdresser just this morning about this! She was telling me not to worry if I seemed to be losing alot of hair once baby has arrived as while you're pregnant the hair's natural cycle changes and it doesn't break off or fall out as much as normal then one baby arrives it then does it quicker until it gets back to its normal stste then will go back to its normal cycle.

    hope that makes sense lol!

    Hi ladies,

I'm just popping in from the main pregnancy thread to ask what may seem as a silly question. :o

I am due to have a sweep on Wednesday, should I be taking my hospital bags with me? I know the sweep doesn't work for everyone but I would like to be prepared in case it does. My only concern is that I have quite alot of stuff to take as I am having twins so don't want to log it around if I don't have to.

Also I lost quite a bit of my mucous plug this afternoon, does that mean that labour is starting soon? I've heard that some people lose theirs way before they have their babies so not really sure whats going on.:o

I lost my plug a week before Sebs birth, I think it be very unusual to go straight into labour following the sweep, normally 12-24 hours. If you are going to the ward, maybe, but if you are going to the consulting area, no. You could always take them and leave them in the car.

Icey- don't think u need to worry about the sleep thing as think that all babies are different.

Dashikii - I started to lose mine on the saturday and bubs came on the Tuesday you will know when things are happening. If you are some one who likes to be prepared then can always leave bags in the car as Carmilla says. Good luck xx

I seem to remember leaving mine in the car in case of emergency, didn't need it though, and we went for an amble round the supermarket after my sweep.

Weirdest thing I ended up with was two shiny puffaish anoraks. I mean come on, both you people have had children, did you actually think trying to get a newborn into a shiny slippery padded coat and then carry them around was really going to happen?

Just thinking ahead to baby's next chair, what would come once he grows out of the bouncy chair? I want somewhere to leave him safely that'll last a while, but don't know whether a nest, a swing, or just a longer lasting bouncer is best?

We've has the full set today, sick, poo, and then wee. The house is full of washing, nothing is dry, and i'm a little fed up. I'm starting to think he may be allergic to the dust in my room, as I don't have a carpet, but there's nowhere else for him to sleep.

I started to lose mine on the Wednesday, only a teeny bit and loads on the Thursday, went into labour on the Thursday night :)

r.e the chair Aimless, I don't think Bouncers are suitable as soon as they can sit up on there own, so if that is coming soon for your LO, I think another bouncer may be a waste of money. I'm not 100% on that though so someone cleverer may correct me. I haven't forgotten btw, I will try and weigh those wipes to cost delivery. I only got home today after 2 weeks away. x
