Keza and Darkphaery - its really hard when the screaming doesn't end. OH has come home many times to find me in a flood of tears fearing i just can't do it or cope. But the saving grace for me has been getting out, just for walks. I meet up with Lucy and Kira from here once a week, and also with another friend once a week, and it really does help break up the week. And its great to chat with other ladies that understand.

Getting him in the pram and out is the one sure thing to help settle him. Even if its just me, i put my earphones in and off we go, and within minutes, the crying has stopped. Even if he's not asleep, he's quiet and content, as am I.

Other than that, just knowing from being on here with all you lovely ladies that i'm not alone, and it is normal and does happen, really helps!! ;)

Hi sunshine, we always had to put jacob down to bed asleep as he always fell asleep during feeding. It made naps and bedtime easy so we never tried to change. Even now at 10 months he often falls asleep feeding.

I hope everyone has had a good weekend :-) jacob is now able to walk around the room using the walls for support, he is so much more content now and not so frustrated.

We are seeing a ped tomorrow for a number of things, his wonky head won't turn to the left, something with his hips and this bad tummy cramps/reflux issue.

Hi Hon. I had a forceps delivery as LO was stuck with her head transverse. I noticed she couldnt move her head well to the right, and that she just seemed tense all the time (as well as having reflux!). I took her to an osteopath for some cranial osteopathy as one of my friends had had simlar problems and said how much it had helped. Wow!
It has helped so much with her head/movement, she is much more chilled out, passes wind more easily and is sleeping better. By all means see your Paed, but its definately worth thinking about taking Lo for some cranial osteopathy.

Just a quick one since I have to go nappy change/feed/express milk in a second... I appear to have acquired one prematurely born at 33 weeks daughter, now a week old after a horrific delivery (full saga's on pregnancy club and I'm considering action after we get out of here), stay in NNICU, and we're currently nearing a full week of me being resident on a post-natal ward (if a day or so of it did your head in - I'm totally at plot-losing levels now by a week of it)!

Will flick back over old bits of the thread in a little while once I've done all that (before we do it again in 3 hours as Aunty NHS doesn't do demand feeding, or birth choices or anything) - but here I am I guess - just over a month sooner than anticipated!

Seb is hovering around the 0 line, which panics all the health professionals, and he looks more like a newborn.

My little guy is 6 months old and is still hovering around there! Thankfully, he now looks like a baby, rather than a newborn.

He was 7lb 1oz at birth, but lost a lot of weight afterwards and it took him 7 weeks to get back to 7lb. Far too long and as he was born 100 miles from where we live (very long story) we got lost in the post-natal system.

He still wears newborn and some 0-3 clothes, but he's perfectly healthy and is gaining weight (albeit slowly).

    Morning all xx

Dizzyblond- congratulatulations on your LO xx:) I will have a look at your story. So sorry you have and are having a rough time of it. Xxx

Emmylou - god what a pickle with the electrics, hope it's all sorted x

Toniq- hello good to see you are getting on so well xx sounds like she is really thriving. Good tip mattress (paranoidly staring at Scott's head as I type!!) it is something I may consider when out of moses basket. I love your avvy too ! So cute!

Mozzy- hello ! Good to hear how you are doing and that the pram strategy helps keep you ok and LO. Hoping your LO grows out of witching hour soon. Been watching scott, no reaction to jabs first or second day but last nite tea time slept for 3 hours then woke up late at almost 6 which I am putting down to jabs. Nice to have a telly with a full picture now :D hubby watching far too much vroom vroom !though  keep me updated what you and charlie are up to!

Sunshine- Scott usually falls asleep feeding on cushion and then delicate transfer to pram for sleep. At night hubby bring him up after the same thing, but if he stirs he will usually settle as he is tired. We can occasionally get him to sleep by putting down but only 1% of times !!

Kira- one mention of forceps and shudder but at the end if the day am thankful LO here as without them doesn't bear thinking about.

Keza- good luck with paed x

That's a long enough post for now !!

Hope I haven't missed anyone xxxx

Dizzyblond - My big hugs clearly need to be bigger xx what a nightmare hun x hope you are both home soon. I had forceps, episiotomy and back to back baby too. Valley cushion borrowed from mw was a godsend, hope you have good pain relief for stitches. So sorry the hospital messed up in making things more stressful by not understanding how frightened you were. I am sure your LO is adorable and all the hospital carp was worth it. Hope you can give us updates as to how you are and the peeps on here can give you support.
    Ro xx

    Morning all.

Dizzy-Sorry to hear you've had a rough time of things. Def take things further when you are feeling up to it (hugs). Congrats on Erin:)

Nights seem to be getting better. Hubby normally does the late feeds around midnight,1 am,as he has always only ever had around 5 hours sleep, which works well. I do the ones after, but last night Amelie woke for next feed at 6 am,so I pretty much had a full night's sleep:T

Just had leaflet thru saying the next Asda baby event starts on 23rd april:)

    Hello,
It's my first time posting on here and I'm a bit of a fraud because my baby isn't scheduled for arrival for 8 weeks but I have a query that I hope you'll help with.

I want to get something for my friends who've recently had a baby but my OH has warned me against buying baby clothes, teddy bears and flowers because he thinks they'll get loads from everyone else.

We were thinking of perhaps getting something for the new mummy and daddy as most things seem to be centred on baby and daddy especially seems to get left out.

What did you find the nicest/most useful present you received after the birth of your baby? What did you get too much of?

Any thoughts would be gratefully received .
