I think I'm just getting over the shock of the poo now! She's been quite grizzly and clingy today but not sure why. Could be another growth spurt thing as she has been feeding a lot as well. Got her to sleep about 4, finally, but then had to move her to go pick DH up from work at 5 :(.

Dad is doing good thanks Ro, although he's got to wait and see how effective this treatment has been. They're going to evaluate and do another one (probably) in about 6 weeks. Now that he has that one down we won't worry so much about the others!

I need to measure up the cot and I'm hoping it's not non-standard now but no idea as yet. It's from 1975 but has drop down side and different height settings for the mattress etc so despite needing a clean and repaint seems to have the same features as a new one would.

    Hello all x

Crabapple- good to hear that the treatment did not adversely affect your dad, hope the treatment is effective. Take it hubby not insured on car so your having to do taxi service until bike fixed. Thinking about the cot bed we will have to get realive to bring ur as it won't fit in the car and that's after we have made room

Mozzy- hello! Hope ur ok the one handed thing is quite a skill!! Never eaten so many dinners with one fork either !

Kira- the talking photo album has turned up, looks good!

Amelie hasn't done a poo since saturday night. Is this normal for a formula fed baby?:(

Thats quite a while Lucy but it all depends on whats normal for Amelie. Aaron is FF and goes once every 2 days and has done since birth. Have you tried giving her an oz of cooled boiled water every day? I give Aaron 2oz most days to keep him regular. Ff babies are more likely to be thirsty and need the water too :)

If she isnt straining to go and doesnt seem uncomfortable I wouldnt worry too much but would try the water x hth xx

    Hi Lucy

We had a similar problem with Ava when she was about 4 days old, no poo and only 1 wee in 24 hours. We rang NHS direct and ended up at the out of hours doctors. They were concerned about the weeing but said it's quite normal to have days with no poo and they wouldn't worry about it until 4+ days

    Morning all,

Not been around for a while, been busy busy busy!

I have a question with regards to follow on milk. LO will be 6 months in two weeks and i'm just wondering if be gradually moving him onto the follow on milk or just do it straight away.
Also have read that it can sometimes cause problems with constipation to begin with which im a bit worried about!

We moved L to follow on milk a couple of weeks ago - nopt had any problems with constipation. He was on hungry milk prior to changing and we kept him on that for his dream feed only and then when the box was finished we just use No 3 milk all the time now.
