Hi darkphaery
We are feeding Scott who is 10 wks on Tuesday
180ml aptamil number 1 usually 6 bottles (1 3-4 am and rest roughly 3-4 hourly) but he does not take all hence we do more than the 5 for his age. I do try bf once in night and morning and he gets the tiniest expressed amount in another extra bottle. He is a wee one for his age so let him have what he wants!0 -
Hi dark phaery. My LO is 8 weeks and has 4oz feeds 3 hourly during the day and wvery 4 at night. He rarely finishes his bottle. Not sure how old your little one is but there stomachs are teeny so I wouldnt worry about not going the recommended time. was a study thid week and feeding on demand is better than to a schedule anyway xxThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Katie is 15 and half weeks and will not go 4 hours between feeds, the max I can get her to go is usually 3 and half hours. She currently drinks between 5 - 7 ozs. I don't expect her to go 4 hours between being fed, since I don't either0

Hello all !
Hope everyone had a good weekend x
Must start thinking about cot bed mattress, it is a non- standard size any recommendations As will need to order in the not too distant future Want a sprung mattress not dirt cheap I'd say middle of the road ?0 -
Amelie is a month old today and will have around 80 mil every 3 to 4 hours. She has also been known to guzzle up to 120 during her growth spurt last week, but seems to have slowed down now.
Mozzy and Kira, are you up for meeting on thurs afternoon? x:):happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

So when does baby decide to give me my first experience of projectile poo? The ONLY TIME I decide it will be quicker to do the nappy change without getting the wipe-clean mat out! She got my leg (stopped the spray from getting any further but it was over 1ft away from her bum), our bed sheet and her sleeping bag in the firing line  Was sheer luck I hadn't moved the old nappy yet so her clothes survived. All at 4am as well...
This morning DH's bike wouldn't start so instead of my peaceful wake up and feed I had to run him to work in the car with a grumpy child next to me wondering why she had to get up and wasn't getting boob.
And having been fast asleep on the feeding pillow five minutes ago, now that I've laid her down in the carrycot she is wide eyed and talking to me
Did get one bit of good news yesterday when I was talking about the cot to my parents - they are going to buy the new mattress when we decide what we want. Still got to get the thing over to ours and clean it down and repaint, but that will save a good bit of cash for us. Not sure what size it needs yet.
Darkphaery - can't help on quantities as am bf, but length between feeds seems pretty normal, get longer periods at night. Babies certainly let you know if they are hungry!:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Oooh it's too quiet.... Perhaps we've all been sunning ourselves?!
Crabapple - I do not want to experience projectile poop on that scale !!! Sounds horrific  hope oh's bike is easily fixed. How's your dad? Have been noticing more cats around just lately, think I've got them on the brainwe are having an ancient cot bed from mils house (hubby etc have all used it!!) it needs a Bloomin clean as its varnished and needs a strange size mattress let me know where u get yours if you order one as I am a bit worried about where to get a decent sprung one in a weird size that is not too expensive.
Today has been all lovely like yesterday and day before. Daffodils swaying in the breeze, Dylan asleep under chair and baby quietly (:D) feeding, need to make most of these days !!
Hope all ok
Hugs to those with screamers...0 -
Amelia's managed to hit something on the other side of the room before... Luckily that was Daddy's turn at changing the nappy! Oh and you can guarantee the times you're trying to do the 'quick' middle of the night nappy changes are the times it's going to go wrong. The other night OH tried to do a nappy change, it was about 3am, and she wee'd everywhere, necessitating a complete change of clothes. Luckily he did have the foresight to grab the changing mat so at least our duvet was saved... :rotfl:
I hope everyone has been enjoying the sunshine! It's been glorious here...:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
